Anybody else hate this streaming bidding war though? It was annoying enough to get Prime so I could watch Thursday Night Football, but now I have to have Paramount, Netflix, Fubo, etc. Thats like an extra 60 bucks a month just to catch a game or two. I'm not buying that. They can shove it. If it isnt on ABC, NBC, or FOX, thats one less viewer for em.

Nope, doesn't bother me. Competition is a good thing.

We have all the regular channels (FOX, CBS, NBC and ABC/ESPN).
We have Amazon Prime because we use Amazon a lot.
We have Netflix because my wife and kids both watch shows on Netflix.
We have Peacock because Peacock operates like the OWH and when you go to cancel, they offer you a year for a really cheap price.

I wasn't aware you needed Paramount or Fubo for NFL games? I thought Fubo was just a competitor to YouTube TV?

Nope, doesn't bother me. Competition is a good thing.

It was kind of inevitable to a point. Everyone wanted cable broken up and where you could go a la carte. People didn't want to pay for bundles. Well, that's kind of where we ended up.

I have NFL Plus which includes NFL Red Zone. I’ve had it since the 2017 season. It’s great. I enjoy watching all the games and I definitely get my monies worth..

That said, I also have Netflix and Amazon Prime..

No issues with either, or that the NFL now has games streaming on both…

Two very high stakes games on tap today.

Seahawks-49ers [winner gets the 1 seed]
Panthers-Buccaneers [winner makes playoffs, loser is out]

Then tomorrow, we have -

Chargers-Broncos [if Broncos win, they have the AFC 1 seed]
Dolphins-Patriots [if Patriots win, and Broncos lose, they are the 1 seed] (these games are at the same time, so both teams will be full throttle)
Ravens-Steelers [winner in, loser out]

I'd expect to see a ton of passion out of these games.

This is not quite right. If Atlanta beats the Saints tomorrow Carolina gets in even if they lose today.

Well, the Seahawks did it. They won 13-3. So they are now officially the #1 seed in the NFC and they clinch the NFC West title.

I wish they'd flex away from the Chiefs game today. Sure, we're in Chiefs territory, yadda yadda, but their game is the least meaningful of all the 3:25 games. I'm not even sure Chiefs fans even care to watch it.

While on the other channel, we get Lions-Bears. And I don't really even care to watch that. Probably will just watch NFL Gameday Live if anything.

I know Bob can share in my frustration. I couldn't help but watch the Lions, sigh. Last game and everything.

ALL YEAR, in games that mattered, Dan Gamble left so many field goals off the board. I begged him every time, take 3, take 3. Oh no? OH 4th & 5 in the red zone, go for it and don't get it? Hmm.

Same situation today, now the game doesn’t matter at all and the dude finally, finally takes 3 in the red zone. I can't tell how many drives they had that reached field goal range and ended up with nothing. Maybe would have won a game or two more?

I swear if they win this game by way of field goal(s)...

The NFC Divisional Round Matchups are set. #5 Los Angeles Rams vs. #2 Chicago Bears in Chicago. And #6 San Francisco 49ers vs. #1 Seattle Seahawks in Seattle.

I've got more skin in the AFC side. The Texans play the Steelers tonight, and the winner of that game goes to New England. I'm not sure which of those teams would be the easier one to beat, but I just really don't want anything to do with Aaron Rodgers. He pulls tricks, and he's just a giant girly. I want his career to end unceremoniously.

I think it's going to end up Patriots at Broncos for the championship. I actually think I'd prefer that route over the Bills upsetting the Broncos and them playing the championship in New England. Division matchups in the playoffs make me nervous. If not for crazy ticket prices, I'd totally go to Denver to cheer on my Patriots. Though, they don't have any luck in championship games in Denver. I'm surprised they've done this well. Both of em.

The Bills are currently a 1.5 favorite over the Broncos.

I felt sorry watching Justin Herbert attempt to play football behind the Chargers' patchwork offensive line. Six sacks—oof!

Dang, thats crazy the 1 seed to be an underdog at home to the 6 seed. Both have a strength of schedule well into the 20's. I actually haven't watched a single Broncos game, so I don't know how they look, but to get the 1 seed, you have to be *pretty* good lol.

Well anyway, I'll be rooting for the Broncos because the Bill's know the Patriots all too well. And I admit, I'm really surprised the Broncos did so well this year, so I'm thinking there's something there to exploit. Guess the +1.5 at home supports that.

I still have my money on the Patriots going to the Super Bowl. The NFC looks like way more of a toss up. Any of those NFC West teams could go.

It will be an interesting game for sure. I'm looking forward to it. I think the main question, naturally, is whether a young, inexperienced QB (Nix) can keep up with Josh Allen. I'm guessing the answer is no.

I'm hoping for a Bills/Seahawks super bowl. While Tom Brady is the goat, I still hold a grudge against the Pats for being so damn dominant when I like underdogs and some new teams to get a chance for a change. (awesome that the Eagles are out)

The Broncos will not go out without a big fight and the same goes for the Pats. The Texans have a killer defense that will at least give them a challenge.

The Bears will get one more win in before they fall apart agains the Seahawks.

I have no dog in the race, but I do have some teams that I like more than others.

I know people were sick of the Patriots. They basically had two dynasties in 20 years, but don't forget, though they were always in the mix, they had a ten year super bowl drought, got beat twice by the Giants and by the Eagles, and got bounced in Brady's final game by way of a pick 6. And have absolutely STUNK for 5 years.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs have enjoyed enough success, I think its fair to say football fans experienced the same level of exhaustion. I'm personally very glad, not only that the Chiefs are out, but also the Eagles. Honestly, I'm tired of the 49ers too, they need to put up or shut up. All in all, this season has been full of unexpected outcomes. Its good to see it coming down to mostly teams that haven't had a good shot in some time.

Hey, us 49er fans would just like one season where most of our key players aren’t injured for most of the season. Still, there are many new players on the team this year and it’s amazing that they’re still even in it.

If I’m rooting for a team based upon drought it’s definitely the Bills. I don’t know if they can pull it off this year but whoever comes out of the AFC is the favorite in my mind.

It has to be tough to be a 49ers and Bill's fan. They've been my surrogate teams during this Chiefs run. They've only strung me along this whole time, so I'm kinda over them. Quite honestly half the reason I don't want the Bill's to win next weekend, is because we'll just have to watch them lose the CCG or Super Bowl, again. Its hard to watch. I suppose if somehow the 49ers and Bill's make it all the way, that would finally solve that problem.

As a Lions fan, I can't not root for Matthew Stafford and the Rams. On the other hand, if the Bears make it, it would satisfy all my football wishes for my Patriots to kick the poo out of the Bears (pun intended) for my Lions. That might be my ideal scenario now that I think of it.

I'm not really a 49ers fan nor an Iowa Hawkeyes fan, but I was still really bummed to hear about George Kittle's achilles injury.

Most NFL teams deal with significant injuries throughout the NFL season. It just comes with the territory. Sure some teams deal with a little more from time to time.

Who wants to play football in this weather!? I just realized we have two games this weekend, one in Denver, and the other in Chicago, where we're smack dab in between both of them. The players will face similar conditions (Denver a little more tolerable). Imagine having your season on the line, and not only do your job, but also battle the bitter cold.

I think the Bills will be more than okay in Denver, but the Rams traveling to Chicago; Thats gotta be a shock.

I know I want the Patriots to go all the way, but the question is who do I want them to face in the Super Bowl.

I like Matthew Stafford, so I hope the Rams

I like Sam Darnold, so I hope Seahawks

I don't like the Bears, so I hope Bears, so the Patriots can beat them, and all my football allegiances will be satisfied. If the Patriots beat the Bears in the Super Bowl, my teams will have made a clean sweep on them this season. And not that I personally remember it, but the ONE Super Bowl the Bears have won was against the Patriots. Full circle.

Yeah, but it’s not like first game in cold weather for any of them. Heck, the weather in Denver is a nice day compared to typical Buffalo weather.

What this makes me think of, as college football continues to resemble the pros, is that Indiana in a sense is the highest seeded team going on the road against one of the lowest seeds in Miami who gets to play at home. Miami should have to play at Indiana. How many bowls did Nebraska in the 80s and 90s have to play Miami or other Florida teams in their backyard? Would the SEC teams have as many titles if they had to play those championships games in manly weather?

I get that it’s about money but it still strikes me as b.s. that with bowl games and the Super Bowl weather supersedes neutrality.

The Bears definitely earned the home field advantage. I'm just saying, me personally, I wouldn't be too keen on playing in this weather. I actually don't think its an advantage to the Bears, more of a detriment to both teams. Just something else to deal with. I think thats why the Bears, Chiefs, Broncos, Browns are all moving indoors. I'm surprised, yet not surprised the Bills opted for an outdoor stadium. But I like it. Some of the best games have happened in brutal weather.

The thing about the National Championship and the Super Bowl. I get what you're saying, but the venues are selected years in advance. When the Bucs as a team won the first Super Bowl in their own stadium, I didn't consider that an advantage. It was a coincidence. Just like how when the Rams won in their facility. The Orange Bowl is always in Miami, and it was up to the team whether they played in it or not. This Year's National Championship game happened to have Miami as the host city. Good on the team to make it, IMO.

Likewise, the 49ers have that opportunity this year.

Before long, every NFL Stadium can host the Super Bowl. Thats the direction they're going at least, with almost every stadium in a cold climate being indoor. Its up to the cities to court, and the teams to make it. If they do, they earned it.

P.s. I hope Indiana crushes Miami, but if Miami wins, I wouldn't chock it up to them sleeping in their own beds.

Bills v Broncos was one of the best football games I have seen in a long time. It is a shame that the end came down to some judgment calls by the officials.

I didn't understand the Caleb Williams fourth-down desperation completion. The tight end (Cole Kmet) was ridiculously open, despite the defense knowing it was fourth down with little time left. Did the defender misjudge how deep the ball was going? Did the defender lose the ball in the lights? Or did Kmet shove off, which should have been a penalty?

All that said, great game, and I was rooting for the Bears.

Initially it looked like a push off, but in replay they both can of held each other and there was minimal if any shoving. It seemed like the defend just didn’t track it well.

I don't care how good Williams can make a ball look, or what he can pull out of his |expletive|, Matthew "the man" "Statt Mafford" Stafford is moving forward. Honest question, what color were you supposed to paint your fingernails today again? I can't believe I put it off this long. Girl, that was a pretty throw, should have gotten style points.

Matthew Stafford should win the MVP over Drake Maye.

This has just been a great post season. Usually I'm just rooting for whoever will beat the Chiefs. But now I have two MVP candidates, both conference championship bound.

I'm rooting for Patriots-Rams all the way, and if that ends up being the Super Bowl, It's a win-win. I can accept Matthew Stafford beating the Patriots and I can accept the Patriots beating Matthew Stafford.

I didn't have a favorite in the Bronco vs Bills game, all I wanted was a good game and we got that.
I did want the 49ners over the Seahawks, I don't care for the Seahawks.
I did want the Patriots over the Texans, I like New England's coach.
I did want the Bears over LA, mostly because I have friends that are bears fans.

At this point I want the Patriots vs the Rams in the Super Bowl. As a Chiefs fan, I can't root for the Broncos even though it would be good to see the backup QB win, and I don't like the Seahawks. I'm really rooting for thee more good and close football games.

As a Cowboys fan- Now that teams I can’t stand- Green Bay, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and the highly hated Philadelphia Eagles have been knocked out, I can truly enjoy the remainder of the playoffs..

Even though Denver’s QB is out, I think there is going to be a Super Bowl rematch of Seattle vs Denver..and I think the Seahawks defeat them again..

We’ll see…
