Thank you for the correction.

No big deal. IT would be if it was the only error in a statement on the form this year, Month, Week, Day or maybe even hour! ;)

Tanner Lee worked out for Tampa Bay, they also had their eyes on him.

I knew a Husker would be drafted into the NFL this year. I just didn't think it would be Tanner Lee. Hopefully, he can cut down on the interceptions.

Imagine that. And Blake Bortles should be a great teacher.

It’s funny how some are celebrating

Tanner Lee becomes first Husker drafted as a quarterback in more than 25 years

.. and latest draft pick for a first (and only) Husker ever... whew, streak continues at least. Hopefully Frost will cultivate all sorts of talent for the next level... good grief, how many picks did UCF have??

I can't believe Tanner Lee got drafted. Just the same I am not changing my prediction that Tanner Lee will never play a down in the NFL. Jacksonville must be desperate and figured they would take a look at him in camp and maybe get lucky. I'm pretty sure they don't have to pay him unless he makes the team. He won't make the team.

I’m not surprised Tanner Lee was a late round draft pick.. He’s got the prototype NFL size and arm for an NFL QB prospect..

But I pretty much agree with Smucker on this, I doubt he’ll make any sort of impact in the NFL.. Jacksonville has Blake Bortles as their starting QB; and he’s average at best. The Jags will give Lee a look.. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a training camp casualty...

From what I could find he will get a signing bonus of about $140,000 with a 4 yr rookie contract of approx $2.6 million --- https://overthecap.com/draft/ So even if he doesn't make it past training camp -- $140,000 not bad pay for a few months work. :D

It does support the theory that the previous 2 coaches were bad judges of talent and failures at recruiting.

Now wouldn't most of Riley's first recruits be this coming year seniors or red-shirt juniors and most of the seniors this past year would have been Pelini's?

Pretty much sums up everything you need to know about the "talent" level over the last 20 years.

Oh and while I'm at it there isn't an eligible QB on the roster that has taken a snap in a football game since late 2016.

Considering how the last few years have been that could be spun as a good thing.

Ron Brown rejoins the Huskers as an Off Field member of the staff.
Brown served as an assistant from 1987 through 2003 and again from 2008 to through 2014. Frost quarterbacked the team in the 1996 and 1997 seasons.
Director of Player Development

If I were to guess this fill the position slot that Billy Devaney had that was Exec Director of Player Personnel

I know there are a few that think he is not a good hire but I for one think this is a great addition to the staff and can only help build a good future for the Huskers.

Some folks don't like him because of his religious leanings and what not I guess?

Regardless, if he is returning, it must be beacause he feels like it's a great enough environment to do so now, which should probably be taken as a good sign from those that are Husker fans.

I speak for no one but myself here, but the "what not" you're referring to is his lobbying the Omaha city council to not protect the LGBT community from employment discrimination because magic or something, I guess. Personally, I really don't care where the motivation comes from.

I know it ain't gonna be a popular opinion in Huskerdom these days, but add it to the list of things to bring up the next time the World Herald runs a "brain-drain" or "how come no one moves to Nebraska?" article.

Nebraska is a 24 point favorite against Akron Saturday Sept. 1rst. Its going to be more like Nebraska beats them by 50 points. A new quarterback and a new coach and a new lease on life = Saturday night massacre for Akron. Nebraska 62 Akron 13
