That's cool! The one Nebraska game I watched was when he went off against Michigan. He was super fun to watch. The whole team really, I had no idea they were actually pretty good. I'll definitely watch their games and be rooting for them!

Wonder what changed. I didn't look at it directly myself, but two days ago it was stated that the Husker % was just over 52.X %

1620 had someone on earlier in the week and I believe he was an analytics guy (if not might have been an oddsmaker) and he had aTm going to the final four....

aTm on the offensive glass is what scares me the most.

Yep, their rebounding is scary good. As far as the Huskers go when on Off. they need to hit it on the first shot and take the rebound out of the eauastion.

For the guys saying they are a final 4 team there are plenty saying the Huskers are a sleeping threat too.

Yeah that's when I knew we were in trouble. I know aTm was a better version of Maryland (which was the roughest in season match up for NU) and would have a big advantage on the glass and especially offensive boards. I thought our best chance of winning was going in, we were so much better from behind the arc. Then aTm not only was clicking on 3 pointers but they were deep ones. Many from several feet behind.

The emotions of Keisei and Josiah really spoke to how much it mattered to these players. Easy easy team to fall in love with.

Not surprising, as we discussed this at the beginning of the season, but Ramel Lloyd is entering the portal. Still puzzling why he never played this year and I never really heard anything about him other than that he was injured at some point in the preseason.

Obviously would have loved to have won Friday night, That being said, at the start of the year was just thinking post season and primarily towards the NIT. Even that seemed a bit of a stretch goal after where most were predicting us to finish in the conference, 12th. There was also tremendous uncertainty on Hoiberg if they didn't at least make the NIT.

I loved Allick. I do think Fred will be able to find someone with similar skill sets in the portable (actually we probably need to players of a similar mode). Although it will be hard to find someone that was so much fun to watch on and off the court. Love how you'd always see him not only watching his sister on the volleyball team, but he was pretty easy to find at the women's basketball games and football. For only 1 year he was all in on the NU experience.

Keisei was awesome to. One of a kind. I think they are looking at Nick Janowski, the incoming stud we have from Wisconsin to be our top deep threat.

Obviously we built off last season's momentum when selling Allick and the others on the program. Gets even easier now with the season we just completed and Fred having signed lucrative extension.

Probably time to put to be the 2023-24 season to bed, but I will say, was not at all surprised aTm gave Houston fits. And even less surprised they buried a deep three under pressure as time expired.

I know we were one and done in Memphis. But wow I wish I had gone. Had some friends fly down and they said essentially everyone on their plane seemed to be going down for the game. Then just up and down Beale St was lined with Nebraska fans. Said it was such an awesome experience and they felt lucky that's where we got placed.

I wasn’t down there. However, I had heard multiple radio stations/shows highlighted the huge Husker contingent and gave praise to the environment they brought for downtown!

I have heard estimates for 7,000 Huskers in attendance. Of course, not all would have traveled from Nebraska. The TV coverage did nothing to suggest that was not a decent estimate

2024 State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships

The 35th annual event will be televised live by ESPN on April 4 at Grand Canyon University

PHOENIX (March 29) – Nebraska’s Keisei Tominaga has been selected to the Hanes Men’s 3-Point Championship roster for the 35th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix on Thursday, April 4. Tominaga is one of eight players that will participate in the 3-point competition, which will air live on ESPN at 8 p.m. (central).

Tominaga is the first Husker men’s basketball player to compete in the event since it began in 1989, as he will compete in the 3-point contest. The 6-foot-2 guard has been one of the most prolific 3-point shooters in program history, as he finished his three-year career in seventh place seventh on NU’s career chart with 178.

He comes off his best season in 2023-24, averaging 15.1 points per game while posting career highs in nearly every offensive category en route to second-team All-Big Ten honors. His 76 3-pointers ranks eighth on NU’s single-season chart while he was sixth in the Big Ten in 3-pointers per game. Tominaga comes off his eighth 20-point game of the year by scoring 21 points, including five 3-pointers in the Huskers’ NCAA Tournament game against Texas A&M.

Nebraska Head Coach Fred Hoiberg was a participant in the 1995 event.

The State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships invites 24 of the nation’s elite men’s and women’s college basketball players to compete for slam dunk and 3-point shooting bragging rights. The night features the King’s Hawaiian Slam Dunk Championship, the Hanes Men’s 3-Point Championship, the Hanes Women’s 3-Point Shooting Championship and the Dave’s Hot Chicken Hot Shot Challenge. The winners of the Hanes Men’s and Women’s 3-Point Championships will then compete in the Skechers Battle of the Champions.

Since the event’s inception, several of the top players in college basketball have competed in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships before moving on to the professional ranks, including Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Jason Terry, Kyle Korver, Bobby Hurley, Michael Finley, Allan Houston, Wesley Matthews, Denzel Valentine, Yogi Ferrell, Cappie Pondexter, Katie Gearlds, Kristi Toliver, Odyssey Sims, Tiffany Hayes, Tiffany Mitchell, Ariel Atkins, Jordan Hooper, Yvonne Turner and Rhyne Howard.
