Which is larger?

Without doing any homework on this, anyone know if Village Pointe will be larger than South Point in Lincoln??

I sure wish that Village Pointe, or even Papillion Promenade would get stores like Gap, Abercrombie, Banana, etc....South Pointe in Lincoln has these and it 'upgrades' the shopping center a lot.

Village Pointe is larger than South Pointe... and alot of South Pointe's space is alloted to Von Maur. VP has quite a few bays still open... so who knows what is tol come. But don't fret too much... as I said in another thread... I think it is of benefit to the entire metros retail situation... that several malls have niche draws (ie One Pacific Place for example addresses many of your interests). While everyone would probably love the idea of a Jordan Creek with EVERY store under the sun in one massive location ... we need to consider the negative impact that would have to retail centers around the rest of the metro. Each of the larger centers (say... Regency Court size and up)... have unique offerings, which make each a desirable destination. It's in all our best interests, that retail across the entire metro succeed.

Village Pointe is creating its own special niche in simply being the first large 'lifestyle' center in the metro ... the design/layout alone make for a very appealing draw in its case (hopefully this raises the bar even for strip type centers... we're already seeing it to a degree in the new developments coming online along West Center). For what it may lack in some retailers... it certainly will have in atmosphere. I can only imagine what the street scene will be like on a comfortable summer evening when you've got movies playing... comedians working the Funny Bone... karaoke at Burgers in Paradise... etc.

(by the way... Z Gallerie is a very cool store... I'd call it Crate & Barrel like... and it's about as exclusive in terms of cities its in.... some of the other offerings which VP will have cater perhaps more to the older set like myself... another niche).

Is the rumor that Post and Nickel is moving out there true?
