4-Lane Streets That Are Now 3

Post by mrsticka »

How many 4-lane streets in Omaha (2 in both directions) have been reconfigured into only 3 (1 in both directions and a center turn lane) and may or may not include bike lanes?

I already know about 24th and Leavenworth Streets near downtown and Crown Point Avenue way up north. But are there any others?

Oh, yeah. 30th Street. That's right. Are they planning to make it that way all the way from Cuming Street to Ames Avenue?

I think it is... Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I think it would be a much more plentiful list just to name streets that have gone on a road diet, whether that be 4 to 3 or 4 to 2.

If you're just looking for 4 to 3, Leavenworth was only from 55th to 60th. The part of it you are referring to near downtown was 3 to 2 with a bike lane between 31st and 13th and it is still one-way.

A couple I think should be reduced [not necessarily 4 to 3 with a turn lane(maybe they are, but I'm unaware)] and probably are in the plans are North 60th between Maple and Sorensen, and 60th between Leavenworth and Pacific.
