Tesla quietly announcing an Omaha Supercharger location will show up in Q4 2022. Anyone know where? The map location just looks like a generic pin. I’d bet somewhere on I-80 & Giles/370 but who knows..

The pin is generic. The ultimate location will probably depend on what kind of supercharger it is. Two of Kansas City's five superchargers are what Tesla calls "urban," which are configured to charge at a lower rate. Given their relationship with Hy-Vee, and the proximity of the Council Bluff's supercharger site, as well the 2nd supercharger in Lincoln in the same round on this map; it wouldn't be all that surprised if this wasn't an "urban" supercharger somewhere in Omaha not necessarily on I-80/680/370/50 etc.

And they're for sure probably the ultimate resource on this, but they don't necessarily have any inside information on this. For permitting it is going to be on the city of Omaha permit website when it is permitted.

The Kearney addition would be a welcome one for Tesla owners in Omaha traveling West on I-80 as many cars would currently have to stop at Grand Island right now, but many newer models would be able to continue onto the Kearney SC.

The Lincon site had a permit filed today. It will be a V3 charger at 610 W O St.

The Omaha supercharger will be at the 90th and Center Hy-vee per a city permit.

Ah, interesting, a Lincoln Runza and an Omaha Hy-Vee! I wonder if those locations are just the business owner locations, or the actual install locations? I can kind of see the 90th & Center making sense, but the middle of West O in Lincoln seems surprising to me

They're the actual installation locations. Tesla has some sort of arrangement with Hy-Vee (like I alluded to on Friday) as a lot of their SC's in Hy-Vee's territory are located in their parking lots including the existing Lincoln Supercharger. The Lincoln location makes quite a bit of sense when you look where it is in proximity to I-80. You still need a willing landlord with excess parking spots to build at.

Yep, the Hy-Vee arrangement is well established in Iowa. Makes sense and hopefully gets extended to more in the future!

And yeah, you're right, in Lincoln that is close enough to I-80 and also just outside downtown. Makes sense I suppose
