Bawarchi Indian Cuisine

Dining Notes: Indian restaurant specializing in biryani is opening in west Omaha

A new Indian restaurant is expected to open in west Omaha in early June.

Bawarchi Indian Cuisine will be located at 17902 Pierce Plaza. It’s part of a chain that has more than 45 locations, including multiple outlets in the United States, one in Ontario, Canada, and one in Australia.

There are two more locations in the Midwest, in West Des Moines, Iowa, and Overland Park, Kansas.

Trenton, Jeff and I ate at the Indian restaurant Astoria Biryani House last Friday. The same owner from Astoria will be opening this new Bawarchi location. Should be more information about Bawarchi on Grow Omaha in the next week or so.

This location seems jinxed. How many places have come and gone from this strip center?

[Brad]

Jeff Beals from Grow Omaha cut the ribbon today for the grand opening at Bawarchi. We tried several items and they were all great!

At some point (early 2025?) this place closed.

I posted this in the other thread before I saw this one, but I believe same owner. They just changed names and drop the national franchise affiliation
