I’m curious how or if Omaha’s rank has changed over the years. But I couldn’t find any studies from Smart Asset relating to prior years. (Their site’s search feature doesn’t work.)

Just behind St. Louis. I was surprised to not see Des Moines on the list, but their like 100 something in city size ranking. I wonder how we rank overall if they did a metro versus city ranking.

I always forget how big of a percentage that the STL metro is compared to the primary city.

I remember seeing a VH1 "fun fact" 20+ years ago lol, that Lincoln was actually the largest city in America without metro/suburb laden city lol

If you exclude cities that are losing population, Omaha is the 15th largest city!

Not that excluding those cities is a particularly valid approach.
