Located on the lower level of what used to be Southroads Mall.
I can't believe there isn't already a dedicated thread for this place. John Sakkas has been serving up gyros at Southroads since the early 1980s. He's beloved in Bellevue. I think the City of Bellevue even declared a John Sakkas day several years ago. I live on the opposite end of the county, but I try and make it into John's at least a couple of times a year for nostalgia and to throw some support his way (he doesn't get the mall foot traffic that he used to).
He is such a nice guy....I felt so bad for him earlier this year. Cox couldn't get his lines working so he could only accept cash and it really hurt business for a while.

Is that where everyone took to social media and said John's was hurting and people flooded into Southroads to pay in cash and were stuffing $20 bills into his tip jar? Like I said, the guy is well loved.

On Friday, December 26th, John took a nasty fall and surgery was required. The surgery was a success! He is exceeding the recovery expectations, and to no surprise, is pushing himself to get back on his feet! His plan is to return to the restaurant as soon as possible! The restaurant will be closed until John 2.0 is cleared to go back to work. Stay tuned as we will keep you updated on when John's Grecian Delight will re open. We appreciate all the love and support. John can't wait to tell you all the details of his new great story! Happy New Year to you all!
John is (mostly) healed up and John's Grecian Delight in Southroads will reopen on April 17th. Hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 2PM. Though, they may have to adjust depending on how John is feeling.
