Dirt removal/disposal

Post by almighty_tuna »

Dirt; Great Alice In Chains album, but not great having a bunch of it to get rid of. I’ve got two, maybe three yards of excess dirt in my back yard from a couple retaining walls and deck piling projects I did. Any recommendations on how to get rid of it? Mrs Tuna claims you can rent construction dumpsters for this (and concrete as well) but I’m skeptical. Are “free fill dirt” posts effective?

Because reasons, I’m not looking to redistribute around the yard as a solution.

I dug our backyard about 10 years ago to put in a pool and posted free dirt. I had 1-2 people come and get some. Thankfully I was able to find someone in our neighborhood that backed a creek and needed fill dirt for an area that was eroding. Unfortunately, I had to get it all there 6, 5 gallon buckets at a time.
