Anyone have any insight as to why they aren't opening this year? I was told they were selling; is it hail or something else?

If this is true, it would be a smart idea for them to put a notice on their website. We were planning on going this past weekend but didn't make it there. We are hoping for next weekend. Their website makes no mention of not being open.

Yeah it would be nice; we drove out there and they had no pumpkins by the barn, no one working, no pumpkins on the hill. I called the number on the website and it said it was disconnected or no longer in service. We drove to ditmars orchard, and in talking with one of the owners, she said they (pumpkin barn) were getting out of it.

I looked down there last night and there are no pumpkins to be seen. The property is being maintained and the signs along the highway are still up.

They held an auction there on Saturday. Must be completely out of the business.
