With Pope Paul Institute moving out to the land behind Canfield's, I am wondering if that project (I cant remember the name) that is just across the creek (West) of Stinson Park needed more land. If you add that lot, 6801 MERCY RD, and then the Pope Paul lot, 6901 MERCY RD, and then land behind Pope Paul with the same mailing address as Pope Paul, 6855 MERCY RD, you are now up to almost 6.5 acres! The two lots to the west accounting for 1.75 acres of that 6.5 acres.

Re: Area west of Askarben
That land was going to be a joint project between UNO and the early child education foundation that Susie Buffetts foundation supports. That project was cancelled a year ago. The Aksarben trust/Noddle bought back that land last year. I was told early this year that there is a strong interest and loose plans for the next 10 yrs in continuing to grow Aksarben up to 72nd.

They keep that UNO land in meticulous shape, it is regularly watered and mowed often... I don't know how long that armory will stay there.
