"Let it Fly Sports Bar" a Sports bar that has a few locations around the US and owned by former NBA player Mike Miller announced on there instagram that they are opening a location in Omaha in 2022. His son is currently on the Creighton Basketball team so it makes sense.

Looks like the Let it Fly near me has closed. No other locations are closing as of now and the other location here that’s supposed to open is still supposed to happen. Can anyone attest to the kind of business the Omaha location has been doing since opening?

I have stepped in a few times before/after Creighton games and its been packed. But obviously that would be expected.

I have also seen them post on Facebook, most recently for New Years and it looked packed as well.

When Barrel and Vine closed in west Omaha, there were immediate rumors that it Let It Fly was going to take over. Haven't heard anything recently on that though.

Nobody is saying the Capitol District would close. Barrel and Vine was rumored to be a second location.

Just saw this on a Sioux Falls news site

Let It Fly will permanently close its doors at 5 p.m. on Monday.

We stopped by about 45 minutes before the Husker game only to find out they like reservations. We did not have one so we got stuck by the windows where it is tough to see any TV, much less the big screen. Of the 25 or so prime tables, 7 were empty before the game with 3 showing up at kickoff. When we left at halftime, 4 were still empty. I hope they charge a minimum tab or change that policy.

Overall the service was great, especially with it being a gameday.
