I kind of love it when rumors turn out to be true.
I sort of discovered that one on accident one day. I eat out for lunch a LOT and was getting burnt out deciding where to go, so one day I just decided to work my way down 72nd street eating at places I had never eaten and Winchesters came up in the queue. Shockingly good food for a bar/grill.
Though, my favorite thing about Winchester's has to be the communal trough urinal in their men's restroom:
I just took my two girls for lunch today. The Saturday lunch special is a cheeseburger and fries for 6.99. Our bill for 3 specials, 2 sodas, and a beer was about 26 bucks. For this price it is easily one of the best smash burgers in town. The fries were not that great but I certainly won't complain for the price.

Stacy Winters, founder of Omaha Food Lovers talked about Winchester’s on Grow Omaha this morning.
It's been around in some form or another since 1949. It's been The Pappio Bar, Royal Robin Tavern, Don Wan Tavern, Lucky Seven Bar & Grill, D&D Bar & Grill, a few more names in the 1960s, Calico Cat Cocktail Lounge, and became Winchester Saloon in 1976.
