The Plaza has been hit hard by e-commerce, shift of wealth away from Midtown/Plaza, and restraints on new development. Owner of the Plaza itself defaulted earlier this year. This is an interesting project and one of many that is moving forward now that the city and others are recognizing the Plaza could be spiraling south. Restrictions on development around the Plaza are loosening and incentives are being offered again.

Density-wise, 320 units and 414 parking spaces planned. Not beautiful but this will replace some surface lots, ugly old offices, and the site of the JJ restaurant that burned down.
