Bellevue released their comprehensive plan with a few comments, one of the plans being a possible BRT extension on Fort Crook Road connecting to the 24th street BRT. The project apparently is gonna come after that as an extension but there's a lot to dive in with this plan. I found a few documents showing some renderings of redeveloping some areas along the corridor such as the Southroads Technology Park.
Hmmm, not ideal conditions for BRT, but certainly the space for it. The plan writers seem to understand this with good discussion of TODs and walkable urbanism as complementary to BRT in the plan, but then they recommend developments that don't really fulfill TODs and walkable urbanism as they had defined them. The most glaring thing to me is that they placed Fort Crook Road between the development and the BRT line and trail, so now bus passengers, cyclists, and pedestrians have to cross a busy arterial to get to the development. And I'm on the fence about the park. It's a nice gateway, but it makes people have to walk/cycle further to get where they're going from the BRT station. Parks usually work better when they're centalized and not on the edge of a neighborhood. They're more accessible that way. Also, the "Residential Amenity Area" (#9) is disconnected from the mixed-use buildings by a row of parking for some reason? I cannot fathom why that would be necessary. When doing a TOD, plentiful and convenient parking isn't the priority.

The City is currently taking comments as it finalizes the plans. They have a live document you can make comments on regarding their master planning. This is the link: https://olssonstudio.konveio.com/bellev ... en-house-2
