This is the latest entry of a group of somewhat higher end Mexican restaurants that have opened in mostly suburban areas around town in the past decade or so. I realize that owners of these restaurants feel the need to compromise/dilute what have you their recipes, and Americanize their menus in order to cater to the more delicate tastebuds of the local population, much as owners of Italian and Chinese restaurants here have long done. One locally owned restaurant that pretty much adhered to traditional Mexican recipes, Copal, recently announced their closure as of 11-30-2025. I will miss their food, as well as their patio dining.
