New candy store is Old Market treat
Omaha World Herald wrote:Hollywood Candy will open its doors in the Old Market on April 10. Larry Richling's Keystone Group, the company behind the three nostalgia-tinged Hollywood Diner restaurants, owns the store. Richling came up with the idea to fill a large space in the company's new corporate office building at 501 S. 13th St. "It just seemed appropriate to open a retail store instead of just having it all offices, especially in the Old Market," Richling said. Richling said the candy store was designed to work as a chain if he decides to open other locations.

They have some good candy. They let us have a treat at the last Downtown Omaha Inc. meeting. I hope it does well.

I saw that when I was in the Old Market. It looks fun.
I can get pushed out because I'm "too much" for some. Then, an observer of me comes suddenly swooping in to "fill my shoes." People are always more accepting of the new one, because their feathers aren't truly ruffled by them. (Yawn) I can count on it every time.

Old Market's Hollywood Candy

Bob (Swift) and I drove past it tonight and got excited because we thought it was a movie theater. The appearance is a little gaudy and we couldn't decide how we felt about it.

Nice, they've been adding outdoor patios in other places too in the Old Market, just like the recent Centri Gelato and Godega patios.

Hear what they plan to do with it.
