KFC Remodel (137th and Q)

I noticed a couple weeks ago that they are overhauling the KFC there on 137th and Q. I guess they had to keep up with the Joneses after McDonalds across the street rebuilt their store.

And the Taco Bell next door a couple years back...

Its a fast food trend, stay fresh or fade away. If I remember right, Applebee's had a rule that all stores must be remodeled to the "current standard" every 7 years.

Surprised they'd start now, but whatever. Considering the other KFC about 2.5 miles from this one, it was due for a change, I guess.

Also, I bet red roof McDonalds are a dying breed.

I drove by there this afternoon and the remodeled store is now open.
