The former Borders bookstore near 132nd Street and West Maple Road was sold for about $2.75 million, Agree Realty Corporation announced Wednesday.
Alan Maximiuk, chief financial officer for the Michigan real estate company, declined to name the buyer of the 30,000-square-foot property.
The other two Borders properties in the Omaha-area — one at 72nd and Dodge Streets and the other at Shadow Lake Towne Center in Papillion — are still being marketed for lease.
Over the past week, a crew has been working on tearing down the former Borders building at 132nd & West Maple. As of the weekend, all that is left is a pile of rubble.

So I wonder when Walmart will start building there.

I believe the City Council Already approved it too.
I know I'm way late on this comment, but how did a reporter miss a fact already known to an internet forum? Isn't it standard practice to check zoning meeting minutes, pull city permits, and check real estate transfers and tax records when doing research for a story like this?
I think they've started building this Walmart now. I was at Old Chicago a few days ago and there was definitely activity around there. Also, I heard from a source that HVAC work should start sometime in October.
