They had a fire there yesterday, and I heard a (reliable) rumor that the fire hydrants in that neighborhood are just sculptures. Could this be true? How could this be true?

It was all over the news that the one in front of the trailer didn't work and that another one had a stripped nut on top and couldn't be turned on.Coyote wrote:They had a fire there yesterday, and I heard a (reliable) rumor that the fire hydrants in that neighborhood are just sculptures. Unlike the Hydrants in Public ROW, which are maintained by MUD, this was private property and up to the trailer park to maintain.
I am sure we will see a lot more news storied on private fire hydrants.

I just read that article. My source was from someone who lives a few away from the fire. She was wondering how she could be paying for property that now really is not a secure place to live. Maybe they weren't 'sculptures' per se, but in essence. I hope an investigation is started on this. Do you hear this OWH, KPTM, and other news sources who read eOmahaForums!

Second problem is the low level of building codes that mobile homes have.
