Huh....

Well if there’s one dealership chain that could make this work, it’s Woodhouse.

I know there is a lot of money in Elkhorn and Omaha generally but they love their Tahoe’s and Suburbans. I don’t know if Omaha has a large enough demographic to support this level of luxury.

C'mon lottery! I don't think there is a Bentley dealership in KC, if memory serves, the closest ones are in Denver and St. Louis. A dealership here could draw a lot from the surrounding states. I have seen five late model Bentleys in town over the last year, so I know there are people here who like them.

You probably would have not seen an ultra luxury brand in Omaha for another 5 years if it wasn't for all of them making SUVs now. Most of these high end SUVs make a $30-40K profit before buyers start adding on options. There's plenty of money in Omaha to be spent. The news article I saw said there is space for 15 cars in the show room. Seems like a lot of space for just Bentley. As both Bentley and Lamborghini are owned by VW, and Lamborghini now makes an SUV, I wouldn't be surprised to see both open there.

I would expect most of the Bentley sales to be out of state especially if you count the Montana registered cars. Bentley only sells about 2,500 new vehicles per year in North America with Lamborghini selling 3,500 per year in the world.

On a different note, Tesla removed Omaha from their "coming soon" locations over the weekend :(

There is a lot of work being done in the old Brix building at VP. Anyone know what is going into that space?

It will become Omaha’s new Bentley dealership. From the March 28th W-H article-

“Come Dec. 1, after a $2 million renovation of the former Brix restaurant at Village Pointe, Pittack’s Woodhouse dealership will open Bentley Omaha, with sales and service areas, a high-end restaurant and a Bentley-themed retail shop.

“It’s not your traditional car dealership,” with acres of vehicles lined up outside and plastic flags fluttering in the breeze, said Pittack, whose company handles 16 new-car brands, from Alfa Romeo to Porsche.”..

You didn't hear it from me, but apparently the beauty store next door is leaving when their lease is up and the higher ups are courting Lamborghini for the space.

Lamborghini is on a really good run with sales being up 50%. The Huracan is finally their first reliable car and Urus is the best SUV that you can buy.

I'm meeting this week with our state senators about LB51, the "Tesla" bill. Hopefully we can get it passed this year as Tesla really wants to open a location in Omaha and Village Pointe would be perfect.

Omaha has a lamborghini dealership??! I literally cant believe it.

Add Tesla to the potential list.. The Omaha Bentley dealership is already open and in business..

Adding Lamborghini and Tesla would be an additional huge feather in the Big O’s cap...

Funny you say Aston Martins. I know somebody in love with, and looking at, Aston Martins right now. Im not THAT into cars, so I didnt know what they were before. Upon googling or binging them, I realize they are commonly one of James Bond 007's cars. They are stylish & boxy and classy and have nice lines... (My favorite sports cars are lamborghinis. To me, they have the most rad lines -- and I dont use that word "rad" hardly ever. Sure, Porsches, Vipers, ect, all are neat, but I like lamborghinis the best. I wouldnt want to actually own one, though. I used to have toy models of all the lamborghini types & models. I even put one together from Hobby Lobby. It was white. Something about a white lamborghini... I used to have this red lamborghini poster in a red frame. I like all the "F&F" movies, too -- of course.)

I work next to the Woodhouse headquarters, and their dealer principal regularly drives one of his many high-end vehicles to work each day. Some days it’s his Porsche 911 GT2, other days it’s his Ferrari 488 GTB, and every now and then he drives the Porsche 918 Spyder. Today’s vehicle, though, was a new one - a Lamborghini Urus. Does that confirm the Lamborghini dealership rumor? Not necessarily, but it could be a hint…

I forgot to post this but it sounds like Woodhouse already has the Lamborghini dealership license. They will be moving into the Beauty Brands space right next to Bentley.

Last weekend I stopped at the car show at the Bentley store and salesman showing me a Urus did not want to say anything when I asked. Talking with a few owners of $200k+ cars and they made it sound like everyone already knew. Fun Fact, a new Lambo should go in for service after just 1,500 miles and the closest current place is in Denver.

That's really exciting news! So they will also provide a service department for Lambos? That's awesome! I wonder how the process is to become a technician for these type of vehicles?

It can't be terrible to become a technician as they are basically Audi's. A Lamborghini is really just a Audi with cool carbon fiber body. A Bentley is just a big heavy Audi with the best interior possible. For example the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga and Audi RS 6 all have the same V8 engine. The Lamborghini Huracan has more Audi symbols on its parts then Lamborghini.

True, all good points. I forget that those brands share ubiquitous parts and engineering.

I think there’s a solid level of higher training involved. I knew a guy who became a Porsche technician. Porsche is also owned under the Volkswagen Auto Group like Audi, Lambo, and Bentley. They sent him to Porsche’s North American HQ in Atlanta for a few weeks to become certified. I imagine there is a similar certification for Lamborghini and Bentley.

Fast cars, a secret bar room and concerts liven up Village Pointe building
Recent visitors to Omaha’s Bentley dealership might have noticed its new companion and neighboring business: the Barnato.

Those same visitors likely observed, through the glass wall separating the two enterprises, the Barnato’s 15-by-25-foot stage and jumbo-size video wall for live bands and other shows.

There’s also the sparkling chandeliers and lounge decor intended to project a swanky mid-century vibe. And a ceiling-high wall of high-end liquor and wine.

But what is not so visible is the secret green room that, when not reserved for guest performers, is an exclusive bar area for fob-carrying members only.

It’s all part of the intrigue the ownership group hopes to build around the Barnato lounge and event space that opened about six months ago at 225 S. 170th St. in the Village Pointe shopping area of west Omaha.
...
Jason Pittack said the group's Barnato investment is about $2.5 million, including the lights and sound system, outdoor patio area, general lounge area, green room and a flex space for parties and events.

Spanning about 7,000 square feet, the Barnato and neighboring 17,000-square-foot Bentley Omaha occupy the former Brix restaurant. The Pittacks, who also run JSP Productions, recently gained control of another 7,000 square feet on the other side of the Bentley dealership. The plan there is to extend the Bentley-Woodhouse selection of exotic cars.

Yin, Bondelid and the Pittacks said programming at Barnato includes concerts showcasing national and emerging talent, DJ nights, Salsa Sundays, upcoming Bachelorette watch parties, a how-to-mix-an-Old Fashioned event. They said a recent outdoor car show drew a couple thousand people over several hours.

I bought a few Bentleys there today as gifts for friendly neighbors. Nice people.

I'm sure the Nebraska minimum auto insurance of $25K for property damage will cover totaling somebody's Bentley.
