Not SE corner....but NW corner....For Sale sign by US Bank. They recently announced branch closures. Is this one on the list?

Hard to imagine it wouldn't be the case... That would be equally substantial to the lot on the southwest corner. And the Crossroads train continues full steam ahead.

Oh so they're just going to lease it out? That'd be fine too. Better than being torn down for a car wash. It's a pretty substantial building in good enough shape it appears.

I imagine the full building is just superfluous to the way they conduct business nowadays like the US Bank or Wells Fargo downtown branches became. At one time you needed far more people physically in the region to conduct bank business than you need now. I haven't been to this location in a year or two but it seemed like traffic in was slow, with a couple of tellers and one or two loan officers - in other words, a bank in 2020-1.

Hurd a Rumor today. Do-Space is trying to buy the whole block. 72nd to 73rd, Farnam to Dodge. They are going to partner with Metro to build a tech campus on that land.

After doing a little digging on the internet.... The building is owned by "AROON REALTY COMPANY, LLC", which when digging a little more on the internet, traces back to a member of the Lauritzen family. The Lauritzen Family does have a history of Philanthropy in this community so it sounds possible.

That's some good investigative research. Having a tech campus right at 72nd will interesting, if the rumor is true.

US bank is closing this. Two banks built at about 84th & Dodge, Veridian Credit Union is building at 76 & Dodge. Chase opened in Ak-Sar-Ben. Access Bank is building at 67th and Center. Did I forget any, newer ones?
