Checkout the reviews for this location on Google. Sounds like poor execution on Ikea's part.

"The reviews for this location are too generous. This location is an embarrassment for IKEA as a brand and shoppers should demand more. It’s rude that IKEA thinks that this is acceptable. If this is the shopping environment they are going to present than everything in the store should be at a lower price point. I would also imagine they will have difficulty keeping employees motivated and engaged in such a depressing environment"

"The store is a bit overwhelming at first because everything is laid out in front of you as soon as you come down the elevators. There were a few items on sale but many items I checked were without prices. I got a few nice things but maybe they weren’t worth the hassle after all."

"This Ikea is located downstairs so it's a little awkward getting into especially when the escalators are out of service.
The store itself is neat and organized the associates are helpful and friendly.
It's not as big as the Ikea in long Island but they still have a nice selection of merchandise."

"Talk about a depressing Ikea experience. Walking inside feels like they were about to go out of business. The store has just about everything a full regular Ikea store would have but minus the self-service collection area. The food court area was ok. They have an all-automated ordering kiosk so very few human-to-human interactions. "

IKEA plans new U.S. stores in $2.2 billion push to challenge Walmart and Wayfair

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ikea-pla ... 39989.html
Ingka plans to open eight new big IKEA stores and nine smaller stores as well as upgrading existing stores in the U.S., which is IKEA's second-biggest market by sales after Germany, the company said on Thursday.

Öncü said specific locations for the stores had not yet been decided. The new stores, including nine "plan and order points", smaller stores where customers can get advice and order furniture for delivery, are in addition to already planned IKEA openings in downtown San Francisco and in Arlington, Virginia.

Wonder if this means that IKEA might possibly look into expanding into Nebraska Crossing. I thought there were rumors about this.

Pre covid they were looking at opening a second Detroit metro area store.
