Yet another Starbucks
The empire is growing a bit more, just found out that I'll be doing another new Starbucks install shortly after Thanksgiving. The store is in Bellevue on the SE corner of the JFK and Cornhusker. The actual address listed is 10403 S 15th st. Being right off the interstate and very close to Ameritrade, I'm guessing this store will be another big earner.

Yet another Starbucks
It appears this Starbucks, given the address, is in the new strip mall in front of the Wal*Mart in Bellevue. In which case, it's a football throw's away from a Scooters, and within eye contact of another Scooters on the other side of the JFK.
So, this Starbucks, they do little research on new locations. The latest Starbucks went in at 120th and Blondo, across the street from a Scooters. They opened one in downtown, four blocks east of a new Scooters there.
Scooters always gets the new locations, like in Ralston in front of the new strip mall about 72nd and Q St.
Starbucks is playing the stability card. They are counting on Scooters to to roll with the local economy because they are local. And all franchised. Whereas Starbucks is national and can take a punch or two. Starbucks is more than willing to wait Scooters out of the market.
I believe the Starbucks/ Scooters battle will ultimately end Crane Coffee, all but the downtown 13th Street Coffee, and put a serious dent into MJ Java. Local coffee houses need to step up and play the game just to exist.
All this, and Starbucks and Scooters aren't even the best coffees on earth. Ha.

Having worked in multiple coffee shops, I have to say that you strongly under estimate the ferocity of coffee patrons loyalty. Once they find a place they like, they absolutely will go nowhere else.

Swift is correct..
I'm a Starbucks customer..Rarely, if ever, do I stray..If I do, it's usually 13th St Coffee or occasionally Caribou Coffee..
I know others who feel the same about Scooters, Crane, etc..
The good thing is, I think the coffeehouse market is big enough in Omaha to handle everyones preferances..

I actually do too. But that's mostly because I've discovered that it doesn't matter what coffee shop you go to. Baristas in every coffee shop don't know how to make lattes right.

Yeah I guess it will be around that Walmart, I don't know why, but I was thinking one exit north. Ooops.
My work order date is for Tuesday the 29th so if this goes like the last few, I'm guessing it will open on Friday the 2nd. I'm usually one of the last trades in, they like to keep me under pressure.
If I find out otherwise on an opening date, I'll let ya know.
