Bellevue unveils plans for $20 million riverfront park

RDG Planning & Design proposal includes:
-2,000 seat Bellevue University baseball park (fall 2007)
-9 1/2 acre lake
-Amphitheater
-Skate park
-Public dock and fishing pier
-'Great Lawn' for festivals and sports
-Historical museum
-All season picnic shelter
-Light sculptures and other art evoking history of Bellevue
-Trails and ornamental prairier grasses

Where is the 8000-stall parking lot? You can't have riverfront development without 12 acres of asphalt. Ask Omaha. ;)

I think its cool that they are thinking of a skate park. We sure came along way from the days that people would have to fight tooth and nail just to get one put in.
