Ellada at Legacy Closed, Toll House Cookies...

The Ellada at Legacy has closed.

We had not eaten at Ellada, but when it opened many told us that the food was fantastic, but a few months later, like a switch was flipped, the food was not good (...said by the same people). Their business appeared to reflect that pattern.

In Ellada's place will be a Nestle Toll House Cafe.

Toll house cafe??? I didn't know such a thing existed. 2 cookies from there would probably be my allotted calories for an entire day! lol

Lonnie, I had an insider tip on that one! hehe

We also have a Keepsakes coming in, which is a jewelry repair & dealer, a specialized photography studio, and a unique gift basket company.

Unfortunately, we've had our first tenant leave (Ellada technically is the second), which was Eagle Men's apparel. Hopefully, they'll be replaced soon. Also, I've heard that Lifetime Fitness should start construction in July, to be open by next spring. However, their website doesn't mention the Omaha location yet.

Lastly, you'll have to visit our new store over on Maple. It's open!!!

Legacy has some great shops that never have anyone in them.

My girfriend and I walked around Legacy a few weeks ago (Walked to Legacy, around it, to Target, and then back to 160th and Center) and there was hardly anyone at any of the shops.

There are some really world class shops, like the Tea Smith (which also has a second location at 78th and Dodge) and PHG (a sort of importing/exporting store that has a great collection of hard to find wines and alcohol, as well as a number of other fine dinning accessories). Both of those shops are as good or better than anything we had seen in San Francisco, yet we were the only customers while we were there.

Go check out these awesome stores before they close.

Those places sound like the kind of specialty retail that we need and would thrive downtown.
