That's just awesome - especially for a tenant such as Pet World who was in that center for years before The Pizza Machine came in. So, not only did they get kicked out of their old bay since the Pizza Machine wanted their space, they had to pay to move themselves down around the corner behind everything and now they're looking at probably not being able to stay in the center once the rate increases kick in. Chalk another one up for the little ol' independent business owner who everyone is always looking out for.
If they do happen to close I guess if you want to buy salt water fish and aquariums in Omaha any longer you'll get the pleasure of doing business at Petco. And boy, their selection is phenomenal and their staff, oh the most informative on the subject.
Of course, none of this has happened yet, so maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit too soon. And I know overall the center is in much need of a complete overhaul - I always thought it was quite ridiculous that they put the money into the Pizza Machine facade, but left the rest of it looking like it was built in the 1970's. But, that's not the tenants' issue - it's the landlord's.
