Starting Monday, crews will begin tearing down the parking garage just east of Methodist Hospital to make way for a new, larger parking garage to open next spring.
Demolition will take four to six weeks, said Steve Goeser, executive vice president and chief operating officer. The new five-story garage will have 75 to 100 additional parking spaces and a landing pad for helicopters.

Methodist Hospital turned the first spade of earth Tuesday for a $77 million project tthat will help shape the evolution of surgery in Nebraska. It's a new surgical center that will emerge over the next three-and-a-half years.
I do have to say, the renderings they have plastered around her is a nice break from the American Fortress style of architecture that the Methodist campus is mainly comprised of.
