Opens next week in Sarpy County in Southport. I think it's got the best variety of pizza in the Omaha area.

A little clarification -- it isn't right on the intersection but about a block north of 156th and Maple. It is in the strip maill building that is behind the Hollywood Diner. To get in there you have to turn either at the Walgreens and weave through the parking lot or go down to the corner past the strip mall which would be Sprague and turn up into the strip mall by the GoodWill.

We went to the one on Maple & 156th. It was LOUD. I mean beyond loud. It wasn't too crowded but they had the TV and stereos turned up so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. I thought the pizza was OK. Better than Sam & Louie's but that's not saying much. I'm a self admitted pizza snob though.

Exactly what does the "gourmet" in their name refer to? The only gourmet pizza's in town I can think of off hand are at Cali Pizza Kitchen.

My rating on the 156th and Maple location is "Okay" as well. Not bad. But it is about 7th or 8th down my list. As far as gourmet, I couldn't find anything resembling gourmet on the menu.

I like their Chicago style a lot. I takes a while to make though (just like the real thing). Appetizers, buffalo wings and New York pizza style are good as well. They also have great beer specials during the week and $1 draws of domestics all the time, in a chilled mug.

It's not a bad place. I've had a pepperoni pizza and a combo pizza. The pepperoni was ok but I thought they have a fantastic combo. It tasted a lot like Sam and Louie's - I think if you like S&L's style, you'd like this place.
