Sports equipment and hockey rinks

Two questions. Are there any stores in Omaha that sell used sports equipment? Saw there was a play it again sports in Lincoln, but didn't see anything closer. Also, does the city or any suburb make any ice rinks in the winter? Where I grew up, the city would put up boards and freeze the tennis court. Thanks

Apparently Stick and Kicks has moved. They were at 120th just north of Blondo next to Qdoba, now it appears they are about a 1/2 mile further north.

The new Sticks and Kicks is awesome. Tons more space and equipment-hockey, soccer and lacrosse.

Off the Bench in Ralston is now called "Pure Hockey" which has locations all over the country. Part of the change, its now hockey only.

I also saw this post from Omaha Hockey:
"Pure Hockey-Omaha notified us that they will no longer be stocking Omaha high school team, Jr. Mav, Lady Lancer gloves. "

Grow Omaha reported a couple months ago that pure hockey was moving from Ralston out onto the west Maple corridor. Earlier today when I was at pure hockey, I asked the guy working when they were gonna move and he says the goal would be around August sometime.

This is fantastic for Omaha. Been buying hockey equipment in Omaha since the 70's (Stick Shack). Unfortunately the stores haven't kept up with the demand. I have tried to buy most here, both for me and my kids, most recently at Off the Bench, which was bought out by Pure Hockey. But due to store size/selection it was limited.

This new store, which replaces their store off S 72nd, has about 4 X's the sq footage, and is among the larger Pure Hockey's around. Will be nice to essentially be able to get their full product lines in Omaha vs having to go to Minneapolis and other markets (even Des Moines had a bigger store).

It's in a bay formerly occupied by Ulta.
