Old Crossroads Christmas Scenery Photos Wanted

Post by djc311 »

Would anyone have pics from Crossroads Mall's Santa setup circa 1980-1985?

I've hunted for these off and on and unfortunately I'm not able to find any. I do have pics of the actual Santa visit, but I'm looking for photos of the scenery that was around the Santa display (like the aisle you'd walk down to visit Santa).

I know it's a long shot, but trying to put something together from my childhood :D

Not Crossroads but here is a great nostalgic photo of Westroads, Christmas 1982. Photo credit: Omaha World-Herald.

When this pic was taken, I was 9, and very well could have been downstairs at Musicland playing the demo Atari 2600, Intellivision and Colecovision haha

I was probably 14 and definitely tried to hit the video game displays too. Loved going to Sears at Crossroads because they always had a 2600 on display. Getting a ColecoVision was my all time favorite Xmas present (followed cloesly by a head2heac Coleco football game).

Yup another good place to play Atari, lower level of Sears at Crossroads, by the west entrance

We used to buy chocolate stars at the candy counter in Sears. Crazy how things are so different today. It's kinda sad.

Here's an interesting set of photos of Crossroads through the years, with just a few Christmas ones:

Yes if memory serves that was on the main floor that led to the mall. I remember getting those as well.
