Post Update Access (lack thereof)

I'm trying to figure out why as a long term user of the forum I'm unable to see post replies on certain topics. Any input on this would be appreciated.

If someone replies to you and the moderator deems it inappropriate or spam, and the moderator removes it, the forum will still tell you that you have replies, even though the reply is not in that thread anymore. There’s no way to hide certain replies from anyone.
