Those are the weakest renderings I’ve seen in a while. Like barely above CAD quality.Athomsfere wrote: Sun Jul 09, 2023 2:32 pm For the first time in basically forever, OKC is getting something I'm jealous of.

Well, they’re not for sure getting this. It’s still at the proposal stage with several more hoops to clear before it becomes reality..
That said, it looks like an interesting development proposal and if it becomes realized, good for Oklahoma City…

Yep. 4 30 story buildings on a current parking lot. That would really help OKC out.

This type of density is what I want to see at certain spots along the streetcar route in Omaha, like Lot B by CHI Health Center. This bricktown development is over 900 apartments in 3 towers, on just under 4 acres. Lot B, by comparison, is about 8 acres. Imagine having 5-6 residential towers there with room to spare for another hotel. Anyway, this looks to be early in the process. But seeing this type of vision from an out of state developer in a midwest city is exciting.

Sort of exactly where I am coming from. If OKC of all places can move this forward it should give Omaha some real hope.ita wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 1:39 pm This type of density is what I want to see at certain spots along the streetcar route in Omaha, like Lot B by CHI Health Center. I really like what they've done with downtown OKC since the very late 90's. The addition of Bricktown Ballpark, Bricktown canal, Ford Center (and then the Thunder), the streetcar, Bass Pro Shops, Riversport OKC, followed by all the housing (row houses, condos and apartments) and hotels. This will add to all that.

Here’s an article about this project from a couple weeks ago. This week the project was approved for incentives and is moving forward. I’m curious about the developers comments about OKC having the necessary core ingredients that are found in LA and other large cities…really? What would those be?
