Bridges of Sarpy County
Do you think there should eventually be more bridges across the Platte river in Sarpy County? I would think there would have to be more for Sarpy County to be developed. Maybe there are some already in the plans.

That would seem to be a natural split to me. Its pretty much exactly between 75 and 50.

It's probably an expensive bridge as you'd have to elevate it not just over the river but also over the nearby floodplain too. So, it would end up being longer than one might expect.

I agree. Don’t forget the BNSF railroad mainline on the south side of the Platte too.ChadJK wrote: Fri May 23, 2025 2:05 pm It's probably an expensive bridge as you'd have to elevate it not just over the river but also over the nearby floodplain too. I don’t see it happening. There’s really no need. Highway 75 goes to Plattsmouth, Highway 50 goes to Louisville. There’s not much in between but Cedar Creek and the campground at Cullom. There’s no sewer in that are so you’re not going to see any dense development.
I just don’t see enough benefit to justify the huge cost.
