Episode 1 of the new season, 4 is pretty much all Kansas City. If you are from KC or go there, you will recognize quite a lot. Great exposure for KC, especially coming off the World Cup.

The opening part of the Gates BBQ scene was iconic.

Lots of KC landmarks, I especially liked that Town Topic made the cut. Generated a ton of social media talk on KC as well.

Who from the original series (first 3 seasons) is in it? I was told it was nobody but Ted, but then I saw previews with Rebecca, Coach Beard, Higgins, Roy, and Keeley. So, clearly that wasn't true.

They haven't got back to England yet, but yeah, Rebecca, Beard, Higgins, Roy and Keeley are all back. I imagine since they are now focusing on him coaching the women's team, the players from the men's team are gone. There was a new clipping in Ted's office showing Richmond thanking Jamie for his time with them. I imagine it's similar to real EPL where he might have been sold to a bigger richer club.

Not a major player, but Rebecca's boyfriend, the pilot also seems to be back. I think the crew from the local bar in Richmond is also back as I saw them in a trailer. Also Ted's ex wife. It looks like she might have a bigger role too, as she is moving to England with their son (who was recast).

Saw a post from Bob Kendrick over the weekend (he runs the Negro League Baseball Museum-fantastic place if you haven't been). It got featured in Ted Lasso. Said they have a big attendance bump since the episode aired (and got a bunch of Cubs fans that were in KC to face the Royals as well), Nice to see the museum benefitting.
