The 2008 Downtown Living Tour is scheduled for Saturday, May 10th from 10-4. 14 different projects will be featured.

Here is a link to a nice website they have for it...
http://www.downtownomahaliving.com/index.html

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend this year as I will be on a photo run in Southern Utah/Northern Arizona.

Always well worth your time to attend this, even if you are not in the market?

I clicked on the site and it doesn't seem to be working right. Is anyone else having that problem?

I'd be interested to check out the Brandies project this time around since the switch to rentals.

Burlington Station Is Not on This Year's DT Condo Tour

Post by Guest »

Since being purchased in 2004, the Burlington Station has sat empty. With the exception of some now-fading construction and sales banners, there seems to have been no work done on the building.

And it's not included in this year's downtown condo tour, which is mentioned in The World-Herald, and also has a Web site, downtownomahaliving.com

My guess is this isn't happening.

Any thoughts?

Want to see Omaha's skyline from a variety of vantage points?

The Downtown Living Tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday will highlight 14 downtown residential developments — projects that range from historical to ultra-modern, from the heart of downtown to the fringes.

More than 1,500 people are expected to participate, said spokeswoman Anna Baker.

This is the third tour.

i wish i was able to go check it out (stupid work), not that i could afford most of them anyway. I'd love to see what they've all got to offer, etc, so that when i hit it big, i can get into something a little more upgraded, even though i do enjoy the home i currently have :)

**I am going to start my post by saying that all of these photos could be way better if I could take a tripod in these condos and shoot without other people at the proper camera settings**

Please see the "review" at the end of the photos"

My Review

Overall once again a great tour. If you want to see every stop on the tour you need to start first thing in the morning. My only buses with the tour was the bus stops. by Noon the buses were really out of sink. Instead of every five min it turned in to 3 buses every min and then no buses for 15 min which really backed things up. I think the BIGGEST way that the buses could remain on schedule would be to avoid the Light at Abbot Drive and Riverfront Drive. That is a VERY long light and sometimes two buses would end up there before it turned green.

Thanks Brad!

Wow. I hadn't seen the renovated lobby at the Paxton. That is BREATHTAKING!

I was thinking the same thing! I'd say that the Paxton looks the best, and i LOVE the charm. Very elegant. I liked 902 second best because of the view of the old market and the skyline...and I've always liked it there. They're all pretty good looking, though.

Did anyone catch a price on the Riverfront rowhouses? I liked that place a lot. Not that I can come close to affording one, just curiosity.

Not sure what they're listed at now, but back when I was looking at places (2 yrs ago), $300-350k (depending on if it had the 3rd floor loft area) was the approx range.

Anyone interested in buying a condo OR free passes to the Urban Wine Festival, please come to our open house at 1117 Leavenworth Plaza today from 1-3.

Or visit http://www.OldMarketCondo.com

We'll probably be there after noon and until 4, but it is officially from 1-3.
