They closed the street on the west, took out the rest of the parking and numbered the elevator towers.

Kind of looks like a post-modern Stonehenge!

Not to knit-pick, but I'd say that's more modern than post-modern. :P 4 1/2 years of art school, not going to waste.

Construction crews are on schedule, said Mutual spokesman Jim Nolan, and about 750 people have registered online to be notified when detailed information is available on the project's condominiums and apartments.
Douglas Theatre Co. of Lincoln had planned to build a five-screen theater at the project. But the company recently said it would sell most of its theaters to Marcus Theaters Corp. of Milwaukee. Nolan and Marcus spokesman Carlo Petrick said Mutual and Marcus are talking to see whether the theater will continue as planned.

It reminds me of San Gimignano, Italy.

And you have terrible grammar too.
When I was up over there today it looks like there are the 2 shafts on Dodge that still have concrete being poured.Brad wrote: I know with buildings there is will all look taller.

They look great to me! I noticed the other day as I came over the hill on Dodge headed west, just how prominent the building will be! The upside of the towers being finished is that they now can start on another phase. I love driving by and seeing what they're doing next.

Drove by MTC today for the first time since early March. I had no idea how massive this structure is in person! Can't wait to see it progress.

I drove by it eastbound last night for the first time in months. It looks like it ill be quite impressive, and VERY close to Dodge.ShawJ wrote:Drove by MTC today for the first time since early March. I had no idea how massive this structure is in person! Can't wait to see it progress.
I also noticed a for sale sign outside of the Twin Towers (high rise just south of the Walgreens, on the east side of MofO Park). Couldn't make out if it was for the whole building or not, but it looked to be.

It also appears the sixth/final elevator tower of the "crescent" is topped out, although the forms were still on as of this morning.

IMO this would be a great place to have a handful of 24 hour businesses. After living around here I found that this part of town has the best night life scene. It would be cool if they capitalized off of that.

I love picturing these buildings with furniture (grills?), flowers, and people on the balconies....beautiful.

I know we can't complain at all given the lightening speed at which this construction is progressing, but the website says Fall 2009 move ins. Is this possible? While I know they've done most of the time consuming work so far, geez, they've got a lot left to do if they plan on having even some of these buildings open in a little over a year...
I'm not doubting where there's a will, there's a way, but this is going to be one impressive project to watch if it progresses at that pace.

Yeah, I've always noticed that Douglas Street has a nice terminated vista (with Mutual) looking west. If only it was a two way street. Same thing with St. Mary's Ave for that matter.
