Well I guess it's closer to 80% and not 100%. Still that's great for a project that size and opening that far away.

Are you getting this from the website DTO? If you are, you're sadly mistaken. The "gray" unavailable units aren't being marketed yet, as in they haven't been sold. The "yellow" available units are the only condos for sale right now. They want to test the popularity of the floorplans and implement their findings in designing the remaining units.

I've contacted the sales team to see how many units have actually sold.

I heard it from an old co-worker at Mutual. They said they got in a some info up there. I'm just passing along what I heard.

96 Midtown Crossing condos now available for reservation

That looks really good, and well into construction. Seems like the urban vibe is slowly creeping down Dodge Rd. I always thought that the Mutual of Omaha building was a great example of 50s architecture (one of the less atrocious examples, too). I hope that the designs for Midtown Crossing compliment that and don't overshadow that building.

I'm really curious as to how much the apartments will be rent wise when they are completed...whenever that may be... i know they listed the condos first...but i can't afford one....so I'd prefer an apartment - nice area.....really close to downtown which i want...and nice overall... just hoping it's reasonable!

For the most part yes. Your middle building lines need to go to the right instead of right to the north elevator shaft but you got the gist of it. That's just my former drafting geek side talking. :;):

I dont want to get this thread off track, but according to that article it says Cinema Center will close by fall. Did anyone know about this?? That leaves central Omaha without a theater for quite a while. The closest will be Rave theater which is still under construction, and Aksarben village is still quite a ways away from opening. This sucks...

I'm SO happy to see that Marcus is going to keep the Douglas Theatres agreement at Midtown Crossing, and I hope it's still going to be the same concept (multi-level with bar and in-seat food service on the loge level).

for a 1 bedroom?

this is the problem with downtown ...unless you're willing to spend a grand - u don't get much downtown for an apartment....and most do not take pets... i think in order for downtown to really thrive, it needs to become more affordable.

Or people just not be so poor.

There are still many places DT that rent with what people consider reasonable, but with any new places they are going to cost more becuase they offer more than the unit that is older and has less to offer.

I was looking last night. It is starting to get tall enough you can shoot from the bottom of the hill. Besides the webcam, there is really not a good angle unless you know someone form Mutual, Trash towers, or that big ugly white building.

A forth tower crane is being erected near the far west elevator shaft. They only have the first section in place. but you can see it on the webcam

Kidding, but this does looks like it will end up being much more than than I thought it would. It's nice that the people that brought us Schlitz and Jeffrey Dahmer could class this town up a bit.

They need "bourgeoisie" and "proletariat" theaters. First class would have full service, up high with a view, have champagne and comfy seats. Steerage class would be underground, flat auditorium seating, stale popcorn, etc.

The concept of dinner Movie Theater is interesting. The New Theater at Midtown Crossing is all about choices, not the Society class you belong to.

Some chose to have full services meal with wine or beer during the movie, while other wants to the just enjoy the movie with or with out the traditional popcorn and pop.

What you want to watch on the screen is your business. Each your own!!!
