Chili's (13015 Birch Dr ) - Closed

Chili's has closed their 131st and Maple location.

Interesting, I guess I didn't see that coming.

I thought may be they would combine that store with the crossroads store in the building they already own at Westroads, but not flat out close.

has closed. It's going to be brutal watching the restaraunts and retail that close over the next few months.

Wow, that one is really surprising. I live right by there and it was usually pretty busy. That said, I ate there twice and the place was disgustingly dirty both times.

I heard La Vista's store might be closing as well but the source was unreliable. The place is always busy despite the mostly vacant strip mall behind it.

That would be a huge shitter. We eat there more than anyplace else. I'm not an applebees fan and thats about all else that is really close.

It would not surprise me is both the Applebee's and Chili's in Papillion and LaVista closed and moved to Market Point, Shadow Lake, or Southport.

We'll miss it too. Ate there a lot, and you're right good kids menu. We never had any issues there and always had good service.

Chili's has decent food, not my first choice for casual dining. For that matter whether it is Chil's, Applebees, or Red Robin, The food quality for my last few experiences has been inconsistent. As for the now closed Chili's, accessibility was an issue the first time I went there. I can't see the Red Robin on 144th & Maple hanging on too much longer. When they opened they were always packed, had to wait to get seated. Even a drive by was a full parking lot. Now there is plenty of parking when I drive by it.

As far as my drive on Maple, It looks like the Quizno's on 111th has met its demise also.

Kum and Go bought the Oasis, closed the Quiznos, ripped out all of the flat screen tv's, pulled all of the pictures off the wall and put in some disgustingly bright fluorescent lights. It's a damn shame.

Summer Kitchen Cafe, across the parking lot from the now-closed Chili's, had the best chicken fried steak in town IMHO.

I puffy heart Chili's. Having one that close to us was a big plus. We ate there quite frequently.

But as my husband pointed out driving to Oak View isn't any farther than we used to drive for Chili's before we moved to Omaha. Still. Sucks.

I drove past this location Sunday night and unless they are renting out the building it is NOT closed. The lights were all on and there was plenty of cars in the lot.

I sent an email to Chili's corporate via their website and this is what I got back. *pout*

I have no idea what's going on there. My friend who runs another restaurant swear's it closed. You've got the corporate response posted here about the reason to close it, yet I was at the Border's next door to it last night then went and ate at this Chili's...

We just ate a late lunch there today. The manager stopped by our table so I asked him about them closing and he says that indeed they are, corporate is closing 35 Chili's across the country. The last meal they are serving is lunch this Wednesday, the 25th.
