I don't know. They're part of the tour still so I'm guessing the could just be waiting for a big unveiling.

If they were smart they would announce it about a week before so that its all over the news. Then when the tour rolls around they will get a lot of people in to see the model.

If information is specific enough you can still figure out who it is. no one is going to risk a job or source to look like hot |expletive| on here. I've just heard, as some other people have too, that there could be an announcement about construction starting. There. Now you know. We'll just have to wait and see.

Thank you. it'd be cool to see steel going up by the first snow fall...but i doubt it.

If they announce this/next week, start construction, the could be steel going up by winter. However I think its going to be concrete not steel.

Gosh, with as delayed as this has been, I would think they would be able to mobilize quickly to get construction started. How could they not have all their cards lined up in their hand, just waiting to lay them on the table, so to speak. I just mean, they've had plenty of time to arrange everything.

Here's to an announcement this week or next, and a QUICK construction start!

KETV will have a story about the tower tonight, it didn't sound good, they implied a change of plans.

I think the plan was during the condo tour, which would be the 30th. However, I'm not sure what others are saying about KETV having a story about new plans. Guess we will have to wait and see.

word on the street is enron is moving offices back to Omaha and have asked that 15 floors be added to the structure for execs they are moving into the area, and change its configuration to an "E" when viewed from above.

Wait, is today April 1st?

Oh yeah, they'll probably make wall street tower the wall street strip mall. They may even put a couple apartments on the 2nd floor. ::crosses fingers::

Wallstreet tower will scale back. It will still be 32 stories, but narrower to cut back on condos.

The tower will remain 32 stories, although the building will be narrower as the number of condos drops from 192 to 96."

Interesting, they went from having 126 reservations on September 24th of 2008 (http://omaha.com/index.php?u_page=1208&u_sid=10441094) to only having 96 condos?

Is the hotel even involved anymore?

I can't wait to hear how they are 1 or 2 reservation to sales conversions away from starting this November...

KETV will probably post the story online soon.

Tower is cut in half. Hotel is still involved with 150 rooms. Data Center will be in the building, with 2 floors of offices. Still 32 floors, with now over 60% of the remaining condos reserved.

Most of the west side is gone, it looks like it was shaven down to maybe 5-8 stories, it looks............extremely weird.

Well, I don't trust that they were ever close to the 50% mark. If they were, why would they have to cut the number of total units by about 50%?
