Yeah, so much for 62 and sunny. More like 40 and rainy...

Man, I'm in a shitty mood today... I better just hang up the keyboard now :)

And on the Omaha thing again, if I remember correctly during the swim trials the sign next to the pool that said Omaha was panned over 2,000+ times and I think the City's name was mentioned 400+ times throughout that time and the Olympics. So adding the Omaha tag is definitely more of a nationwide advertising thing.

Like S33 said, there is a lot of room for improving it's brand name and must continue to work hard to do so. That said, the brand has seen a lot of improvement in the last fifteen years and people no longer consider Omaha a cow-town in a cornfield. People now see Omaha as a decent wage, low cost of living city that is not so boring. That is pretty much were it stops though. As long as we continue to have a good product to promote with the name, then the improvement in how outsiders perceive the city will continue to improve. Again, so far so good, but we aren't even a 1/4th of where we need to be.

I am guessing above the scoreboard on the field side...
They are adding a second side to the field side of the light tower like I thought.

It's not apparent to me from the pictures...is any of the signage to be illuminated from within or just with spot lights?

Not sure about all of it, but the larger stuff will be illuminated from within.

this morning the lights were all on. Looked awesome there...and huge.

BTW, with the moon as big as it was this morning, it would have made for an awesome sunrise shot of the skyline with the moon in the background.

I didn't see the moon this morning, but yesterday it was Awesome!

The lights have been on a lot lately, but I can't wait for the rest of accent lights, sidewalk lights, and signs to get turned on.

They had the lights on last night and today too. The signage over the main entrance is in fact illuminated from within and looks great. Couldn't tell if the other trademark signs are self lit but the place otherwise looked amazing. One thing I'm not sure about but it looks like they aren't putting in all the seating that you see in every rendering, or at least not yet. The higher areas on both sides of the press box don't appear like they are going to be put in at this time. Rather, it looks like it will be the same number of rows all the way around the second level at this point. I guess its the blank spots that are the areas where they had talked about the stadium being expandable if necessary. I was thinking they were going to build it exactly as depicted and that the additional seating would be added elsewhere. Instead I guess it will be kind of like the way they did the add on in the Qwest above the Bud Bar. I wonder how long it will be before they put it in. Seems like they'd be OK to do that now but I'm guessing they are just being conservative. Bet it happens before too long though.

i suppose that would be possible, but i can't see them holding back on seating when the stadium was initially built for a single purpose: CWS. They would be leaving money on the table by not putting seats in. I have no idea what they are expecting to hit for attendance per game/total attendance, but even 1000 seat difference could cost them 10-15k per game. If it were only 1 game a day for the 12 or so days, you're looking at a loss of 120-180k in ticket revenue alone.

Also, saw this on ncaa's page...

I think the upper ends are just bleachers. The supports are already in and it only takes a day to put the bleachers on. I am sure they will be up by April.

Nice shots! The skyline reflection in the first pic is *fantastic*! I'm eagerly, however impatiently, awaiting the statue to be placed and the rest of the construction garb out of the way.

Nice shots Brad. I really like the first one with the skyline reflection in the glass. As Tuna said, once all the construction stuff is outta there, you guys will have to hit it up. 8)

Great shots guys, I feel like the lights have been on (all night) the last 3-4 nights.

still not holding my breathe for illuminating the "omaha" part, unless with spot lighting.

The "TD" isn't up on the scoreboard sign yet. Can't wait to see that side lit up as well.

so will construction be 100% by that time, or will there still be areas they need to complete before the CWS, and just work around it for the CU/NU game? That game is only about a month and a half away
