ESPN's home page has a slide devoted to Bubba Starling. Pretty interesting stuff.

A lotta criticism again for taking up a scholly spot for coach's son. If O-line doesn't improve Barney Cotton has got to be fired at some point.

A couple of Image commits came in the last couple of days, OT Paul Thurston and DE Greg McMullen.

The O-Line and D-Line are going to be major strengths in the next few years.

Also McMullen had an Ohio St. offer and is from Ohio. Good to see Nebraska making moves in the rust belt, 2 of their 5 commits are from B1G 10 country.

Barney Cotton better hope they are good. Brendan Stai was quoted as saying the O-lines' technique was not good at all when he first got here.

Green is looking at transferring to USC. I cannot see him starting if he goes there.

The irony is that this tool shed is not bright enough to know the majority of people on here hate the Huskers. That said, the type of person seeking out any message board in a random college's area, taking the time to create an account and posting this garbage probably sits in mom's basement all day.

The Heroes game? Really? Did the same guy who came up with the Legends and Leaders Divisions come up with this name?

The idea of the Heroes Game is already played; it's called Army-Navy (because, let's face it, in this climate you know damn well the "citizen heroes" being honored are going to be in uniform 99 out of 100 times).

But apparently Hy-Vee couldn't afford to sponsor an actual bowl game, so they came up with this |expletive| instead. I'm guessing the Trophy's going to a bronzed American Flag?

If by how much T-Mart's teammates are bragging him up, how much size, strength and maturity he's gained since last season, is any indication, then he may as well just sign with the Royals.

But what would a Husker spring training camp be without tons of hype that never seems to make itself onto the field?

Preseason hype is the norm for all teams in all sports. That's why opening day is so big in baseball.

Everyone knows that the MLB is just an excuse for the sloppy bluecollar workers in the northeast to get drunk on weekday nights. :)

Seriously though, I went to college to play baseball and I still say it's the worst spectator sport in the world, right behind curling.

That's part of it. Part of it though is the dream that this might be the year.

Have you seen this? I don't know what happens at the end because I was so embarrassed for the guy that I shut it off at the one minute mark.

The 6th recruit has committed. Deion Jones from LA. A 6' 2" 210 lb linebacker that runs a 4.43 40. Sounds like a perfect fit for the defense.

Actually there's a lot more to it than that. Down in KC there is a very popular honor at Royals games called the Buck O'Neill legacy seat where a different local volunteer/hero is honored at each of the 81 home games. Locally the Chasers are doing something similar (but it came also be someone going through a difficult time as well). Obviously uniform hero's will be honored frequently, not just military but police and fire as well. If that's the case I don't have a problem with that. I don't think we are over appreciating our uniformed citizens yet. I can still see others getting the honor though.

Bubba decides whether he is going to Nebraska or Royals today. If I had to bet I would say hes going to the Royals.

Heard it was his Quad. Its being deleted from most husker message boards as soon as people post it so there must be either some uncertainty or somebody doesn't want it out there.

Yeah no kidding. I am also hearing it could be his quad, hoping so if there is an injury at all.
