Heard on Sports Nightly while driving home that there is nothing to it. Dennard tweeted on of the OWH reporters and said that all was OK and there was no injury. At least that is the current version
For the record NEBUGEATER does not equal BUGEATER !!!!!!!

Starling is officially in the Royals program. Congrats to him and I am glad he was going to end up on one of my teams either way.

Royals spent almot $13 million on picks. Still waiting to see what the other team totals are for this year but the previous all time high was set last year by the Nationals at under $12 million. Go Royals!

Being a long suffering Royals fan and a Husker hater (I grew up in Iowa), I am glad to see Bubba choose the Royals. He will be the next savior of the organization. Or maybe just the next hope until he gets traded to the Yankees after making his mark with the team. :lafcry:

As a Royals fan, I am continuously skeptical when people refer to our top draft picks as "the savior of the Royals." They all were supposed to be.Jason4225 wrote:Being a long suffering Royals fan and a Husker hater (I grew up in Iowa), I am glad to see Bubba choose the Royals. FWIW the last trade that the Yankees and Royals had together was in 2000 and the Yankees got a minor leaguer that only played a grand total of 133 games at AAA for New York.Jason4225 wrote:Being a long suffering Royals fan and a Husker hater (I grew up in Iowa), I am glad to see Bubba choose the Royals. Anyways Bubba is a piece to the puzzle not the end all be all, the last "savior" that the Royals had was Gordon and I think the fans learned their lesson about saviors after that.

Actually to me it looks like they've turned the corner. They just need a little seasoning.

I was being a bit sarcastic. Many draft picks have been over hyped due to the fact that the Royals have been bad for so long. I hope he can be a solid player and contribute to the organization at the major league level.
When I mentioned the Yankees I wasn't referring to any specific trade. I was referring to the fact that the Royals have long been a farm team for other teams in the majors since they have been unwilling to pay the large contracts demanded by the best players due to the fact that they are in a small market and David Glass has a Wal-Mart mentality with the organization. I used the Yankees as the example since they have consistently been the team with one of the top payrolls in the majors.

Pulled muscle is all we know so far. You aren't out indefinitely for a pulled muscle though so we will see I guess. I think they will still win the first 4 games without him. He needs to be back before the conference schedule starts though.S33 wrote:Yep, Dennard was injured and is out indefinitely.

Sounded more lie a muscle tear to me, but who knows. Pulled muscles usually are "reported" as injuries.

Pelini said. "It's a pulled muscle. Everybody responds a little bit differently. He's doing a lot better than we thought he would be right now."
You never know with Bo though. I would suspect something worse than a pull a torn muscle sounds about right.

Hope so! Regardless, I'm not worried about depth at that position. I know, everyone has their question marks this year, but the talent literally came out of nowhere in what, 2009? They coach the DB's very well, apparently.

I agree. I think the team still wins with forst 4 game easily with or without Dennard. The Husker D has entered the reload not the rebuild stage. Pelini has recruited his type of players and I honestly don't worry much when they lose a starter to the draft anymore because the guy below him is just as talented. That isn't to say I wouldn't be ecstatic when Dennard returns from this injury.S33 wrote:Hope so! Regardless, I'm not worried about depth at that position. Nebraska is ranked 10th in the AP. The highest B1G Ten team.

Sounds like our OLine could struggle again this year. It's obviously too early to make any conclusions, but I hope it's not another year of a great defense and an offensive offense.

They are young this year and the few veterans are really beat up. It is looking like Tyler Moore will be seeing a lot of playing time at right tackle as a true freshman.ShawJ wrote:Sounds like our OLine could struggle again this year. But, by all means, let's keep Barney Cotton on the payroll.

Haha, how else would we pull in those big time Cotton recruits?S33 wrote:But, by all means, let's keep Barney Cotton on the payroll.
I really hope that having two o-line coaches will help though. From what I have been hearing having Garrison as the asst. line coach is a huge help at the center spot especially.
Cotton has always been more of a downhill running type of guy. Under center with a full back kind of style. His philosophies on the line don't work that will with the spread they are using now. Garrison has been a little more "new age" if you will.

The last time this website trusted insider info, Pacific Life almost built a 350 floor skyscraper. Nebraska is selling 200 more standing room only tickets to students. I think this is a great idea. The other student sections in the B1G blow Nebraska's out of the water.

No doubt, its pathetic where the students section is. I am not saying they should get the best seats in the stadium, but they deserve better than the southeast corner of the stadium.iamjacobm wrote:Nebraska is selling 200 more standing room only tickets to students. Maher gets a share in the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the week.
I think that was one bright point of the game, he will replace Henery well.
Also seeing that Martinez is back to 100% was nice to see.
And Meredith replacing Crick who now replaces Suh will be fun to watch.
We need Dennard to get healthy quick, can't remember who #11 was - but he got torched.
And yes- Green was an embarrassment.

BTW, did anyone see Yoshi Hardrick's finger during the replay (the Martinez pick turned into Enunwa forced fumble) or when he was walking off the field? Holy smokes. I'm honestly surprised it remained attached it was so jacked up.

The OWH is reporting today that he has it in a cast. He's quoted as saying that there was bone sticking out. He's practicing, and not expected to miss Saturday's game. Tough kid.S33 wrote:Thought I saw something, almost looked completely dislocated and off to the side as he was jogging off the field?Big E wrote:BTW, did anyone see Yoshi Hardrick's finger during the replay (the Martinez pick turned into Enunwa forced fumble) or when he was walking off the field? Agreed! The offense looked really really good. The defense is still interesting, I think Husker fans have gotten to a point where it is so foreign to see them play this poorly. I kind of just expect them to figure it out when it matters, plus Dennard is obviously a HUGE piece to the D. He lets all of the other DBs play their natural spots when he is healthy.nebugeater wrote:While there are still many things to work on I think the Huskers looked noticeably better in the win over Washington today!

Although not to this level we have not bee great at the start of the season on D the last two years wither. We have finished Strong though. Hoping for that pattern this year too. Remember SD last year as example #1

QB Tommy Armstrong verbally committed this morning.
