Photo Editing Software Download for One-Time Use

I don't suppose anyone knows of an easy photo-editing software I could download. I have a logo in a .gif file, but I need to manipulate to a vector file for quality and resizing. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've tried gimp before. It's above my aptitude with this sort of thing. I actually got Picasa 3 from Google to do everything I need. It's very basic and easy for us rookies!

Try the Photoshop 30-day trial.

Not sure if you're aware, but you can't convert a raster (gif) file to a vector file and get the scaling you're looking for, unless you know how to actually create vector art from scratch.

Oddly enough, each time I download the photoshop free trial, and after I extract the files, it prompts me to an initial setup screen that looks like it's written in Russian, or something I don't recognize. (that's even when I get it from the adobe site, I don't get it)

And yes, I actual read a tutorial on how to make it from scratch, so to speak, but was still unable to get photoshop to work. Picasa did a great job with the resolution, though.
