I stopped by Wholner's at MTC and a cop was stationed in the entry from the parking garage. Anyone hear of problems there lately? I've never felt unsafe there, but it's not a regular stop for me.[/code]

Speaking of retail, anyone have an idea of how ROC is doing?

I actually hope that they do poorly and close, and that if/when that happens, retail scouts and analysts see that it's because that store is total trash and not indicative of a weak retail market/demand, but rather, just not the right fit for Omaha or MTC.

They have always had at least one OPD officer at MTC. May be he just happened to be at Wholner's.

There is always an Officer on site. Weekdays there are 2-3 security guards weekends, up to 6

The holiday lights look really fabulous again this year. I really love the new lights they added to the outlines of the buildings. I don't drive from 30th on the north very often, but when I do, it's one of the most striking views in the city.

Whats also kind of funny is that some were upset about that tiny little 6 story hotel in the lower left corner getting torn down for this project (I won't name names).

Nice find....it is amazing to see the side by side change in the site. What a great development for the city and midtown. I was so excited to see this actually come to fruition unlike some other proposed projects.

Frankly, I think all the lights on the little trees looks a little goofy. It would actually be much more striking if they just did all the large evergreens in the park, turning them into a really stunning focal point.

Great picture Brad! I am just amazed at how great this area looks at dusk. Definitely makes me jealous not living in Omaha right now. I am sure many other midwestern cities would kill to have this type of development.

I like the white lights on the small trees, but I wish they would do the big evergreen trees in the old school big colored lights like you see in Dundee and such.

midtown crossing is packed tonight! 30 min wait at Cantina Laredo. Portivino looks full. Surface paking is full, garage getting full.

We went to Glo and it was packed too and closed to the public. They said there was a Dentist convention with 100+ people. They may have all gone out to eat before

My wife and I were at Glo Friday night before Thanksgiving and it was pretty busy. It thinned out by midnight, but business seems to be pretty good, at least on weekends.

I love the lights, btw.

I am not a fan of Parliament but I know it brought in a lot of foot traffic for MTC so its a bummer they are leaving. Hopefully MTC is able to bring in an establishment that will be succesful.

I am thinking that a really nice sports bar with a ton of tvs would do awesome in this area.

If this place has quality items it could actually do really well here. No competition in the area.

I live here, just above Laredo. I don't own but you can lease a condo instead of the purchasing or renting their apartments
