This girl craves the attention, and I'm afraid if we stop giving it, she'll be doing donkey shows in the Ameristar parking lot.

We just watched Hope Springs with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. When they fly to 'Maine' the get in a taxi that say Cornhusker Taxi. So after googling it turns out the characters lived in Omaha.

That is funny...I watch Wheel of Fortune all the time and left the room for a few minutes tonight. When I got back my wife said that the puzzle was Omaha and I thought she was just messing with me since she knows that I love Omaha....good to see it was true, but come on, Topeka.Candleshoe wrote:Tonight on Wheel of Fortune, a speed round puzzle spelled out:

By the way...I believe the World Herald had a story on this a while ago, but the Executive Producer on Wheel of Fortune, Harry Friedman, is from Omaha.

I'm actually intrigued about the video, since she's a local and all, but another part of me doesn't want a dime of my money ending up in one of her monthly royalty checks.

Thank god they have now correctly identified where she is from, I'm sure Council Bluffs is so proud to be put on the map by Farrah. Never in my life did I ever think a colossal train wreck like Farrah would be able to sell a sex tape for a million dollars. Any takers on how fast she burns out after this blows over? I'm afraid this is only the beginning and she will attempt to hold onto fame by any means necessary. I do hope I'm very wrong.

Haha, it was rhetorical. I was making a joke about the title. It makes it sound like a lot of the video takes place near her anus.S33 wrote:What do you mean "in what respect"? As a humnorous aside, Omaha just got the Olympic Swimming Trials for the third straight time….Not bad for a town with no permanent Olympic size swimming venue……(the ugly little river doesn’t count….)

Just saw on CNN that Farrah broke records. The video was seen 2 million times in 12 hours. It's said it far surpassed the Kim kardanian video.

It's also funny how he points out a city's budget woes and singles out the fact that Colorado Springs is "chuck-full" of tea party assholes, but failes to point out that on average, conservative run cities with republican mayors, are far outpacing the liberal havens, economically.

Uh, we're not talking about GDP's.
But just a little tid-bit for ya, most of those metropolises you mentioned, were built in an era when the KKK was ran by democrats. Just giving you an idea of what an antiquated metric you are using. Not to mention, completely unrelated to a city's current fiscal health.

What economically strong cities have a republican mayor and conservative government? What metrics are you using to measure economic strength? What does the KKK have to do with their vitality?
Forbes ranked the top 20 fastest growing metro areas in both population and economic growth. These are the core cities and their mayor's political affiliation:
1. Austin, TX - Lee Leffingwell - Democrat
2. Houston, TX - Annise Parker - Democrat
3. Dallas, TX - Mike Rawlings - Democrat

Fastest growing, huh? Is that what we are talking about?
Also, I think we need to stop and think about whether or not the "current" mayor is the x-factor with which we consider the reason for a city's current fiscal health. So, I will rephrase: cities in a predominantly conservative/repub area, at the moment, are in better fiscal health than their majority liberal counterparts. Overall, I will stand by that until you prove me wrong.
In this instance, the burden of proof is on you, only because I'm too damn exhausted this week to put together a synopsis of why I think I'm right.
