Got my season tickets today. They are pretty cool. They came in a wire bound book instead of just a sheet of tickets. Can't wait for this season.

The Jays have already sold more than 800 tickets to the Big East tournament. Last year there were nearly 6,000 fans at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Good to see that many people have already purchased tickets to Madison Square Gargden in New York.

According to Greg McDermott on a Fox Sports1 interview, Creighton passed 15,000 tickets sold as of today. That is amazing. Based on last year's attendance figures, if no one else bought a ticket, that would place Creighton #18 in the country. Of course, they are going to sell a ton of single-game tickets as well so the attendance numbers will be much higher. I am thinking that most all of the games will be close to sell outs this season. If that holds true, the Jays could finish in the top 5 for attendance for the first time ever.

Just got back from the CenturyLink Center trying to buy an extra ticket for the Marquette game on New Year's Eve. No luck.

Creighton has never sold out a game before the season starts, but as of 11:30 this morning they have already sold out 6. (and single-game tickets just went on sale @ 10 am) Unbelievable!

6 SELLOUTS!!!

CU walk-ons find fulfillment in roles
Steven Pivovar: World-Herald staff writer wrote:Two more Creighton home games sold out Wednesday, while the number of tickets the school has sold for the Big East tournament rose to 1,456.

No tickets remain for games Jan. 12 against Xavier and March 8 against Providence. The Bluejays have sold out nine of their 17 home games since single-game tickets went on sale Tuesday.

Friday is the deadline for purchasing tickets for the conference tournament. Creighton’s total exceeds the 1,440 that St. John’s sold last season. That was the most sold among the seven schools that moved from the old Big East to the new conference.

Men's Basketball Rolls Past Northern State in Lone Exhibition
Go Creighton wrote: Taking the court as members of the BIG EAST Conference for the first time, the Creighton Men's Basketball team had little trouble with Northern State in its lone exhibition of the season. Final score for Creighton's 13th straight exhibition win was 89-61. ... The crowd of 16,299 was the largest in school history for an exhibition game ...

Great game for Devin Brooks....15 pts, 6 reb, 5 asst, 3 stls...all in only 16 min of action. Crowd was 8th largest all-time for Creighton. Pretty sure that we are going to see nearly all the single-game attendance records fall this season.

Just got home from the game.. First Team guys played the way they should but the bench players look very much improved this year. Creighton will definitely miss Echenique this year. Devin Brooks looks to bring impressive dribbling play in the paint. Looks like this years team could be one of the best teams Creighton has ever fielded.

Listening to the game, it sounds like Brooks is quickly becoming a fan favorite, and Hanson is going to be found by him a lot.
29 fouls by ASU. They need to create the Triple Bonus. There are going to be a lot of fouls called this year.
League told the refs if they don't call it like they are required they will not get to ref the Tourney games.
And what was it with 3 Off fouls on Dougie?

107-61... Ho Li Fuk!

Nebraska handled last year's sweet 16 surprise, Florida Gulf Coast, too. Might be a decent year for basketball in the state.

I watched the end and Creighton wasn't even trying to play defense they knew the game was won and they had their bench players in getting experience. When you're up 30-40 points in the second game of the year there is less emphasis on D.. 8)

Yeah too bad the walk-up crowd couldn't have been a little better. This may be the only non-sellout game of the year. I am not complaining too much though, nearly 17,000 for a Monday night game in 20 degree temps against a poor opponent. There are only about 4 other programs in the country that could probably do that.

McDermott is the kind of player who won’t really be cherished until we’re still waiting for someone to equal his four-year tenure 30 years or so from now.

Looked to me like it was pretty full from tip off, then a lot ducked out at the half.

The arena was mostly full. The student section was the only area where there was a big void, but they were letting people sit in the back rows of the section for a change. I still think that, especially for the bigger games, they could think of something better to divide the student section. I get so mad when I see that they cover up two whole rows of seats to divide the students from the rest of the crowd. I would gladly sit lower but all the lower bowl tickets are sold out. I realize that it was a cold Monday night vs a bad opponent, but the students need to show up stronger than that.

What a game for Creighton. Doug hits the game winner with 4.9 seconds left and was fouled. CU was down by at least 12 early in the game but battled back. Wragge hit a career-high 7 3's and finished with 21. McDermott finished with 20 and Devin Brooks 16.

JAYS WIN 83-79 over St. Joes.
