From Tuesday night as well. I set up the cam in the 6th floor press box. Took about 1600 images for it.

McDermott had a great game against Seton Hall today, Going 22, 7, 2 for the game. Oh snap. It's only halftime.

He just missed his first free throw in quite a while. Ended his school record of 45 consecutive.

On a side note: the Creighton's women's game is on Fox Sports 1 right after the men. The best part: Sarah Kustok is one of the commentators.

Anyone else notice the terrible refs? The foul for Wragge when it was the most textbook charging foul I've ever seen was awful!

Creighton moved up to 23rd in the coaches poll and 27th in the AP poll. Unbelievable that Iowa remained ranked and actually moved up two spots after only beating Nebraska by 10 at home and then losing to Wisconsin. They shouldn't even be ranked, I thought Creighton was taking their AP spot for sure.

Not to jinx the Jays, but tonight should be another double-digit victory at Depaul.

With two injuries...this is bad. I expect grant to be out the rest of the season and Doug for most of the 2nd half.

Gibbs looks bad but Dougie looks fine.. Fortunately Brooks has stepped up for Gibbs. Anyone catch why Wragge didn't play most of the first half?

Dingman's full stretch put back was I think the highlight of the game tonight.. Give Creighton credit they lost a huge piece of the team and went on to dominate the game late. :banger: :banger:

Gibbs did not go softly at all. I was in the DePaul pep band and boy, was that a loud thunk when he hit the ground.

It wasn't until the Fox post-game report that they showed the guy behind him was standing on his foot as he was being pushed out of bounds, his body was going one way, while his knee wasn't moving.

Whew, great win for the Jays. Hopefully Grant is alright. The team played outstanding. Out-rebounding a more athletic team again. I love the way these guys pick each other up.

Comment in paper was that both grant and Doug will have MRIs today. The coach said Doug couldn't lift his armat half time and they wonder if he could play. He did but boy would that be a killer fork the season if they lost both for any amount of time.

Per 1620, who got the info from the OWH:

Gibbs: Dislocated knee cap, may miss up to 4 weeks.

I hope that is all it was, supposedly he heard a pop. It swelled up bad last night, but sounded like it got better as time went on.

they were also talking about how Doug may just need to wear tape and not a restrictive sling/brace...

They just released a statement saying there is no ligament damage. That is great to hear. Hope the other guys can rally and hold strong until Gibbs gets back. If the 4 weeks hold true, he would miss about 7-8 games.

These next 4 games are in an 8 day window. Going to need the bench to step up big time to get through this string of games with a good record.

The Creighton Men's Basketball Pink Out game will be January 25th. Bidding on the jerseys and warm-ups the team will wear that night is underway, with the money raised going to fight cancer.

Big game on Sunday vs Xavier. They have won 8 in row and are 13-3 overall. Creighton has also won 8 in a row and is 13-2 overall. If the Jays win they will be ranked in the top 25 in both polls.

An article in USA Today sports about Creighton and Grant Gibbs written by, well, Grant Gibbs.

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/01/tales-f ... ar-player/
The last part of the equation came when our two-time All-American and coach’s son, Dougie McDermott, “gave up” his scholarship to become a walk-on to make room so I could come back and play for one more year. It was an incredible gesture, don’t get me wrong, but Doug’s not exactly suffering: Coach McDermott is essentially paying for my extra year of school while Doug enjoys some of the luxuries of not being a scholarship athlete, such as not having to live on campus, while at the age of 24, I’m still living here on a day-to-day basis.

Can't wait to see the game this weekend.. got an unexpected message from my buddy asking if I wanted to go for 10 bucks haha.. This game will finally show us how close to being an elite team Creighton is.. the biggest test should be Villanova in a few weeks.

I'll be there also, stealing season tickets from a friend. Hope they can play well without Gibbs.

Jays Win 95-89. Jays started down 12-0 and then 15 - 3 and then the fans got after it and so did the jays. Another sell out of 17500+. McDermott with 35 points!
