Just got home from the game.. This game was my favorite Creighton game I have ever attended. The crowd was the loudest crowd I've ever heard at the Clink and the team showed true guts to come back from going down 0-12 in the first 2 minutes. So proud of the Jays today.. they should be getting some good press after the win today.

And here I was worried Doug wouldn't get his touches  CU played well, but not the first five minutes nor the last 5 minutes. I agree the crowd was in to it most of the first half. Too bad many had to leave before the game was over. IIRC it started out 6-15, all points made on three pointers. They doubled down their big for most of the game, but that left their wings wide open for threes. That appears how they are going to handle Big East's front court. 17,589, bit there were many season ticket holders empty seats.

Great comeback win for the Jays. I was a little worried there at the beginning, but the fans didn't let up and nor did the players. Great win and can't wait to see how far they climb in the polls tomorrow.

Might not be a bad strategy to lock down the paint and live and die by the other teams 3 point percentage going forward. Creighton's ability to shoot the 3 really helps too since other teams take bad desperation 3 point shots when down by a lot.

I was prepared for a much different game with Gibbs out and Dougie dealing with a shoulder sprain. Shows just how tough this team is.

I sure hope they don't have one of those let down games tomorrow, Butler is a lot better than their record. Hope the fans come out in force for an 8pm game too!

14 regular season games left, maybe 3 Conference Championship games, maybe 3 NCAA Tournament game left:
20 games x 20 points = 400 points = 3,016 career points puts him in 7th place all time.

Wow, your setting the bar really high! Hope the can do that down the stretch, but I don't think the season is going to get any easier....

I agree that it is a lot of points to score, but he is averaging 25.0 pts/game this season. As we continue in league play, he is going to see quite a few minutes, which will probably result in a lot of scoring.

But for the rest of the season, they will see everyone twice. I am sure they will start to contain him at least a little. Like I said, I hope he can do it, but its going to be tough.

Nice! Those shots of the CLink are great.

It sounds like Doug is first place on a lot of voter's ballots (as of now) for the Wooden award. If he can keep it up, I wonder how deep of a run Creighton needs in the tournament for him to win.

I too have wondered what it would take for Wragge to get looks from the NBA. I really hope this is a special year for the Jays so far it has definitely lived up to the hype!

Doug passes Curry with 24 points in the first half, he ties Butler by himself.

Average 20 for the rest of the year to high, Brad?

Great game for the Jays, if it would have been closer, Doug may have had a chance at a new career high (high is currently 44). 10 wins in a row.

By the way, I am not sure if there is a video of it yet, but I would love to see Devin Brooks' pass to McDermott in the post again. Probably the best pass of Creighton's season so far.

Yesterday's SI Bracket Watch has Creighton a 6 seed in the West, playing GW again, then the 3 seed Ohio St.
Villanova is the 2 seed in the South, while Georgetown and Xavier are 9 seeds.

I just left feedback on the Big East's website with the following: There is an error on the statistics of the conference. Creighton's attendance figure doesn't include the attendance from the game on 1/14/14. The correct stats should be 10 games and 175,225 for an average of 17,522. Currently it reads 10 games and 157,623 for an average of 15,762.

Lets hope they get this to update correctly. I am really proud of Jays fans and the City of Omaha for the turnout and hope it gets displayed correctly.
